What is your favorite thing about Matt and Foggy’s dynamic (romantic or otherwise)?

oh! I love their comfotable banter, them being comfortable with each other! knowing SO MUCH about each other to the point where foggy can write matt’s autobiography for him haha and knowing him enough to guess that what matt’s telling is a prettier version :D (the overacting thing hehe)

also the TRUST - foggy trusting him to be there when he’s getting the results for his tests and support him through this even though matt wasn’t... the best at it, and also matt trusting foggy enough to show vulnerability, to ask for help and understanding. to believe in him!

and the way they stuck together for SO LONG even though foggy is not a superhero, just a human - they were shown as already elderly but still friends at one point i think?

and i love the version of daredevil where matt tries to get better and to ask for help (which is the one i talk mostly about) and they just... care so much for each other and about each other

(i also love the “heightened senses but emotionally confused / no senses but emotionally smart” and “soft/sharp” themes! ALSO THEY ARE BOTH GREAT LAWYERS! SMART! AND GOOFY! i love it when fics show that they’re also collegues and have their own professional jokes and such)

SO YEAH BASICALLY i love this comfortable presence foggy has in matt’s life and the trust and respect they have for each other and romance can be great but they’re lovely in any form (but the marriage thing IS useful and they SHOULD understand that as lawyers uwu)

stuck in the dorm in a room with the only roommate who didn’t left and who always makes SOUNDS, have to figure out how to teach first years online, how to do it in a room where said roommate sits and has her own classes online and i can’t talk when enemies are near, where to get a mic for that, how to make classes “leave a trace” so that anyone from the uni could see that we’re working, i can’t move back to my parents because i would stop playing games, drawing, reading, interacting with people and eating so that will make everything worse and all i want to do is d*e but all i can do is go to empty dorm kitchen and cry a little and then get back to answering questions and back to staring at the wall in the kitchen and back to maybe playing witcher and not thinking about that

if anyone has any recommendations on daredevil comics that have him similar to mark waid’s daredevil from 2011 and 2014 and hawkeye similar to matt fraction’s, please tell me i miss them so much TvT

Hi! Sorry to pop in out of nowhere (I love your art!). For Daredevil, I highly recommend Karl Kesel's and Joe Kelly's runs. They're both tonally similar to Waid's (upbeat and emotionally rich) and are very good. I also recommend the first chunk of Miller's run (#168-191) which is a lot of fun and not nearly as grim as his later work. For Hawkeye, definitely check out Kelly Thompson's work (both Hawkeye and West Coast Avengers). I hope this helps!

I almost forgot! The ultimate convergence of the two is Daredevil volume 1 #99, which is a hilarious issue and a must-read if you're both a DD and a Hawkeye fan.
