John Logan has a guilty pleasure.

He loves hockey. He loves partying with his friends and laughing at them when they act like idiots. He loves doing handiwork and the satisfaction of fixing things. But what he secretly loves most, is when he can lay on your lap and watch you read.

He could watch you read for hours. He loves seeing that little furrow between your brows that you get when you’re super invested in a story. When you gasp when a plot twist comes along, or when you laugh at something funny. You actually scared him once when you started crying. At first he thought it was because he did something, when in reality you were actually crying because of how sweet the love interest in your book was being to the main character. You definitely threw him for a loop that day.

But what he absolutely adores? Is when you absentmindedly play with this hair while you read. He swears you have some sort of magical powers with the way his brain quiets when you run your fingers through his hair. He has never been more grateful for the fact that he has great hair genetics until now.

You’re his own personal safe space and he will always be grateful for the fact that he can come to you after the good and bad days, to lay with you.

Dean loves being the little spoon.

Although he likes holding you close and being your own personal pillow, he can’t help but like being held by you even more.

He’ll lay on your chest, his arms wrapped around your torso and he’ll nuzzle into you sighing in contentment. He’s slightly crushing you by how solid he is but you don’t care, you love how warm he feels on top of you.

You’ll lay there and trace the muscles of his back softly and Dean will instantly get sleepy. He doesn’t know how you do it, but every time you do that he goes to sleep within minutes.

You’ll laugh and tease at how sappy he gets each time he crawls into bed with you and lays down on your chest, but he’ll just brush it off and say “This is my favorite place in the whole world.”

“I’m so sick and tired of your bullshit Dean!”

You were trying your best to pretend to be angry at him but you just couldn’t with how stupid you two were being. You’ve been pretending to be a toxic married couple arguing in the fake kitchen in IKEA like that one trend you’ve been seeing around and you both were failing miserably at playing pretend.

“Oh yeah? Well I’m always tired of you screaming at me!” Dean yelled back, rolling his lips inward in an attempt not to smile.

“Well maybe if you would listen to me I wouldn’t need to!” You giggled, not even attempting to fake it anymore.

Dean was starting to crumble too, his shoulders shaking while he laughed while trying to hide his face.

“Hey, you two are going to need to keep it down. If not, I'm going to have to escort you both out.” An employee said, looking like she’d rather be anywhere else than trying to talk to you both.

“Yeah, we’re so sorry. We’ll quit now ma’am.” Dean assured the lady, but the look in his eyes said otherwise.

The employee must’ve thought so too because she looked him up and down, gave a judging “Mhm.”, and walked off.

“Yeah Dean, keep it down.” You rolled your eyes at him, punching him in the shoulder.

“Um might I add that you, too, were also yelling?” Dean raised an eyebrow at you, slinging an arm around your shoulder.

“No you may not, because I wasn’t.” You grinned at him, leaning into him.

“This is why I wanted a divorce.” He huffed, pulling you closer.

Now it’s not often that he gets jealous, he’s well aware that you only love him and that he only loves you, but sometimes guys push it too far and something in him snaps. He won’t cause a scene, but he’s really strategic about it. He’ll walk his way over to you, wrap an arm around your shoulder, kiss you, and then act all surprised that you’re talking to another person. Bonus points if he gives them a nasty look afterwards.

When your husband first found out you were pregnant he was scared out of his mind.

What if he ended up like his dad? What if he couldn’t give his kid all that they needed? What if they ended up hating him? He voiced these fears to you and you instantly reminded him of how sweet of a guy he was, and how you knew for a fact that he’d be an amazing dad. In fact, it was one of the reasons you married him in the first place. After that moment, he had this surge of excitement and it hasn’t worn off. At all.

You can hardly find him without one of those pregnancy books in hand, reading glasses, and a small smile on his face because he is so excited to meet his future baby. And this isn’t just at home either. He’ll take those books everywhere, no matter the time or place. The guys often give him crap for this but he couldn’t care less when he thinks about you and the baby. Don’t even get me started on all the random facts he lists off whenever he sees you.

“Did you know that while fingerprints have a genetic basis, their unique formation is shaped by a baby's movements and touch in the womb—which is why identical twins have different fingerprints?”

“Did you know that a baby's heart starts beating just three weeks after conception, and will beat around 54 million times before birth?”

“Did you know that ligaments soften late in pregnancy so the pelvis can flex and allow the baby to pass through?”

If you thought he was a doting husband before, be prepared for this version of him. You can hardly move a muscle without him asking if you need help.

“Do you need something? I can grab it for you babe.” “Logan, I have to pee.”

Massages? Consider them a daily routine. He gives them anytime he can, no matter what. He will even rub oils and creams on your stomach while he’s at it.

Baby clothes? You have more than your baby will ever need because he always comes home with them somehow. And he not only comes home with clothes for the baby, but for you too. You have heaps upon heaps of maternity clothes, half of which you hardly wear since you’re so tired all the time. You’ve told him this before but he just said “My babies deserve nothing less.”

Oh, you thought he complimented you often before? You’ve never even known what lengths your husband could go to. Every other minute it’s a “You look so pretty carrying our kid babe.” or “You’re glowing honey”. Not that you’re complaining though.

The nursery is filled to the brim with toys and books for your future kid. He was ecstatic to build the crib and he was in fact, grinning like an idiot the whole time.

Cravings? It doesn’t matter if it’s the middle of the night or the middle of the day, he’s getting it for you. Sometimes he’ll eat them with you, although he regrets doing that at times.

“Baby, this tastes like radioactive grass. Why do you even like this?”

“It’s what the baby wants!”

It goes without saying that Logan will be an amazing dad and your kid will be showered with love beyond comparison.

You and Garrett were in the middle of an amazing date.

He was ever the gentleman, booking a reservation at your favorite restaurant, handing you flowers, opening and closing every door for you. You guys had finished up dessert and were about to head out before Garrett stopped you.

“Wait. There’s something I need to ask you.” He said, eyes locked onto yours.

He pulled a ring out of his pocket and got down on one knee and you felt like you were dreaming. That was up until you heard his pants rip. And it wasn’t a quiet one either. It was a loud tear of fabric and you just knew he had ripped his pants.

You doubled over with laughter while he sat there in misery.

“I’m so sorry. I’m taking this seriously.” You giggled, trying your best to maintain a straight face.

He silently stood up and sat in his chair, his head in his hands.

“No, go back. I want to hear your proposal.” You laughed.

He looked up at you, his face a deep red and sighed, “Babe, I honestly forget my speech that I memorized from how embarrassed I am. So uh, will you please marry me? You deserve so much more than this sad proposal but tonight had other plans for me, I guess.”

“Oh trust me this is the best proposal ever.” You cackled. He just shook his head at you and laughed at how this night had turned out.

After you managed to stop laughing you finally said yes.

“Who is this goddess before me?” He gaped, automatically putting on theatrics.

You had wanted to dress up a little bit more tonight, simply because you and Dean hadn’t gone on a date in a while. From Dean’s reaction you would think that you had been dressing like a troll for the past two months.

“Dean, I'm just wearing a nice outfit, heels, and some makeup. No need to overreact.” You smiled at him, ever amused at him.

“No need to overreact? I have every right to do that right now.” He walked up behind you and began to kiss your neck.

“Careful of my makeup babe, I just did it.” You groaned.

“Baby, I will buy you a whole new set of makeup if you let me kiss you right now.” He pleaded, putting his hands together in a begging gesture.

You pretended to think about it before rolling your eyes and sighing as if it was the biggest chore of your life to kiss him and said “Fine.”

⭑ Dean would love doing all the stupid matching couple outfits. Date night? Yes of course, we’re color coordinating our outfit. Pajamas? Well now we obviously have to match for bedtime.

⭑ He will always be seen in one of those “I love my girlfriend” t-shirts. Anytime the guys make fun of him for it he just says “What? I do.”

⭑ Once for Halloween you guys went as each other, and it was the best night of your life. You had a field day while dressing Dean up. You gave him a full face of makeup, which he actually looked really good in, and was a good sport about it too. He patiently sat there, tilting his head where you needed it without complaint. Truth was, he loved it so much because of how doted on he felt. He loves being held. What can I say?

⭑ But the makeup was just you getting started. You picked out an entire outfit from your closet for him to wear all night. A halter top, jeans, and a pair of heels. You giggled maniacally when you showed it to him and Dean sighed “I can handle the top and jeans, but heels baby? What have I ever done for you to hate me so much?” He worked the hell out of those jeans though.
