Stone, Water, and Time: Crossing the Old Packhorse Bridge
Built in 1510, this gritstone bridge has survived Civil War skirmishes, centuries of industrial revolution, and the relentless flow of the Hebden Water. In monochrome, the layers of history feel even more present—the hand-dressed stone against the silver-grey of a Yorkshire storm.
I’ve just posted a new entry in The Calderdale Photographer series exploring the grit and grace of Hebden Bridge’s namesake.
