Dirk wasn't asleep when Desmond's announcement came over the loudspeaker. He rarely slept, and with his current lifestyle of keeping overly busy he made it so he never had to. His first thought immediately went out to Roxy, would she be all right? He thought to send her a message, but then hesitated. She'd been spending more and more time around Dickgami and he didn't want to impose where he didn't belong, so he queued up a message to send to her at a more reasonable hour, and set his focus on other matters.
Knowing there was a person much less adept at the current state of technology the city was dealing with, Dirk went out of his bedroom, dressed in his black tank top and skinny jeans, and picked up the landline that came in the apartment. He dialed a number he had looked up online once, and remembered ever since. It wasn't difficult, Dirk had a memory for numbers... or anything, really.
The phone rang a few times, and the blond began growing impatient. Did the other swordsman even know how to USE a telephone? Was he just standing there staring at it as though it was a confusing and tiny technological monster? Or was he legitimately sick, in need of help. Or was he still asleep, which would irritate the blond boy further.
Fine, he'd go and see for himself. Otherwise he'd just sit around in his apartment wondering if the guy had died.
And we've all seen how well Dirk sits around NOT bothering people he cares about.
So grabbing his katana, he headed out to Sector 002, knocking on an unfamiliar door. He might know where the grumpy samurai dude lived but he tended to avoid the industrial district unless he had a reason to be there, like searching for mechanical parts.
