Still on high from the epic performance of @babyrosemusic last night. Her voice is such a refreshing new sound, but with the nostalgic feel of something like Nina Simone. • One of the reasons I moved to New York was because I knew that up and coming artist often played more intimate (oftentimes free) shows here. (Like early Childish Gambino era of randomly tweeted pop up shows which ended just as I got here 😩🙌🏾) • Lest not forget that many artists often use the NY crowd to get real-time feedback of what the general public may think of their new content or samples. Cause as we know, New Yorkers are notoriously known for being as real as it gets. • Last night was just another one of those historical moments for one of my favourite artists.
