@kryze: how does armitage feel about his mandalorian heritage when he learns about it? how does he feel about satine (her specifically, but also her rule of mandalore and pacifist reforms?) well actually, DOES he find out? how? and how does he feel about his connection to obi-wan?

He never got to dive too deeply into Mandalorian culture and all that but when younger he’d actually been pretty curious about it (a lot of it stemmed from lack of time, but also lack of easily available resources-- sometimes he lucked out and if found could easily claim it was good to study).
When, if, he learns of his heritage linking him back to Mandalorians it strikes back up that earlier curiosity. He’s not entirely sure how to feel about it-- mixed feelings-- but he, in the long run, accepts it. Though he usually comes to realize this factor after he himself has began to try and be a pacifist after having caused so much harm under the control of the Order.
Satine is... stubborn and extra (gee, Armitage, ever wonder where you got that from??). In the cases where he actually gets to meet her, he does eventually grow to like her. But in verses where he doesn’t it’s wishy-washy. Ironically, a lot of it has to do with how she tried to keep Mandalore as a pacifistic planet despite everything going on. Stupid, if a bit admirable for her tenacity.
Outside of our verse, the chances of him finding out about his link to Satine let alone the Mandalorians is up in the air-- though it’s possible he can recover old records of his mother’s transfer to the Harvester Program back on Arkanis (back before they decided she was going to be of no use, since while force-sensitive she herself wasn’t actually capable of manipulating it like the others). It’d link her back to having been found as a baby back on Mandalore, and would no doubt only increase his curiosity on the matter.
Now, as for Obi-wan... that’s another odd thing to even consider for him. Even being force-sensitive at all is odd. But being linked back to someone he’s heard of before, many times, when it came to talk of the Clone Wars? It just felt way too surreal. He doesn’t think he deserves to be linked back to him-- and yet, still, he finds himself desperately clinging to the lightsaber that had called to him.
All in all... He’s rather happy to have more to him than being just the bastard son of a horrible Imperial-- but the fact that it rises up at the time it does is a slight annoyance. Because by that point, he was set on trying to erase any trace of inheritance he had to anyone.
