I was buying a $9 acai bowl in Malibu once and my card got declined #justadultthings. Of course I immediately jumped on my bank app, transferring funds from my savings bc I'm #hellabroke and am trying to do this as inconspicuous as possible so nobody around me realizes I'm failing at adulting. I told the cashier I'd be right back so I could figure out why it was getting declined, laughing it off as if it was SO CRAZY, like WHY would it get declined?? OF COURSE I have niNE DOLLARS.... Next thing I knew, I look up and there's an acai bowl sitting in front of me. I look over and the cashier told me to not worry about it, it's on him. There I was feeling embarrassed and that small act of kindness changed my whole day around. Be kind, pass it on. That happened almost 3 years ago and I STILL remember it. Kindness doesn't go unnoticed. It's people like that that will make this world a brighter and better place.
