"I love you with every piece of me. I will love and love and love until I have nothing left, and then I will make more out of the nothing that lives where everything once did. I would dismantle me to put you back together again.-Tyler Knott Gregson." Cas leaves the note on their bedside table as he gets up and goes to the kitchen to start their morning coffee, pressing a soft kiss to the top of Dean's head.
Dean always took a while to wake up. After he had more or less retired from hunting (save for occasional trip just to keep his reflexes sharp), Dean has turned into a lazy bum in the mornings.
Cas on the other hand was always up with the sun. Something that annoyed Dean to no end, even if it meant his coffee was always waiting for him first thing.
So when he woke to find himself alone, it wasn’t a surprise. He sighed and rubbed at his eyes, grateful Cas had at least left the curtains closed. Dean sat up and stretched, glancing over at the clock.
He blinked when he saw the note and smiled. This was another part of Cas always waking up first. And it almost made it worth not snuggling into his husbands arms. Almost.
Dean read the poem several times, blushing, before carefully stashing it away with the rest. He got dressed and headed to the living room, where Cas waited for him with a cup of coffee. He bent down and gave his husband a linger kiss.
“Hey,” he whispered, falling into place next to him.
