@kytheons and @rhys-the-redeemable came to visit me and we had a 💖 lovely 💖 vacation! Didn’t make it to the beach, but here’s some demons enjoying the sand anyway~
"Do you remember them fondly, Dear Eve?"
Hello! I saw your Hellfell art, I want to say it’s really cool! Can you tell me more about their dynamic? 💕
@diyugemma
*Obi wan voice* HELLO THERE! I'm so glad you like the HellFall art, it's a crackship I stumbled upon and after thinking on it, I'm a little...fixated.
Now we don't have too much to go on either character from their respective shows, so I'm kind of filling in the blanks. Eve, in several religious texts was convinced/tricked into eating the Apple, and all the consequences that followed. And following the religious stories, Eve had to suffer the whole getting kicked out of Eden, suffering the Cain and Abel situation, and of course whenever she died as a mortal, I'm headcanoning she went to Hell just for the Apple sin since Adam got into Heaven just being the First Man.
So imagine, Eve in hell after the tragedy between her sons, and her First man isn't even with her. Is she really fated to go back to Lucifer and Lilith, who she could probably rightfully blame for everything she's suffered?
Thats where Satan comes in. He claimed to rule Hell long before Lucifer, and now in hell he has a soul that's is pretty much Lucifer and Lilith's first victim (from his perspective.)
Its a very complex relationship, with Satan being a bit manipulative and helping fester and stoke Eve's growing hatred while also keeping her close by for himself as a companion, as I imagine being The Satan and a sin of wrath is a lonesome venture. As for Eve, whose gonna protect her in hell until she gets on her feet. No way will she crawl back to Lucifer and Lilith, not when she blames them for her plight. Satan offers protection, and help keep her hidden from their eyes. And she also learns to be manipulative and use Satan's affection for her to her advantage.
I see it as a mixing bag of codependency, sharing of a mutual hatred/enemy, and a good chunk of comfort and even a spot of genuine love and care.
Who better to understand one another right?
And that's not even getting into the while Roo (Root of All Evil) and Eve rabbit hole if it turns out Roo and Eve are the same person.
Im a very musically inclined person, so a better understanding might come if you listen to two songs in particular that helped shaped the core of this ship: Inside the Fire by Disturbed, and Lies by Evanescence
"Rest in me and I'll comfort you
Abide in me and I vow to you
I will never forsake you"
can't stop thinking about that song.
also, i'm a lot more active on Deviant Art! if you're interested, chaco me out there!
