I’m a child of the 90s.
Born in 86…raised in the 90s.
I remember watching Scream for the first time and feeling true fear for the first time while watching a horror movie. Everything else before that? I could logically talk myself out of.
But this? This was REAL. GENUINE. TRUE. TERROR.
And I just watched the final trailer for Scream 7 and I’m GAGGING over here. I have chills. I actually SCREAMED. I am so beyond excited.
The twins described it scream 5.
To some people? This movie was their first true dive into horror. The first scary movie to make the feel real fear. The movie that stuck with them for life.
I can remember being terrified of Freddy Krueger and Jason and Michael, but your mom or dad saying “baby…it’s all fake…” and repeating that to yourself…it was still scary, but it was easier to cope.
Scream? Two teenage boys who fucking snap? That happens. Every day.
I am SAT. This movie franchise is in my goddamn DNA.
