Maybe this is a dumb question but do roaches not try to run off your hand when you pick them up? They look so docile the way you handle them. I always thought they were skittish!
with roaches it just seems to be that the bigger they are the calmer the are haha! at least in my own experience. my dubia colony ranges a bunch in size and the smaller once tend to be more feisty while the larger ones are more chill (and the females tend to be the largest). these hissers are extremely docile though to the point where I’ve been thinking I might experience with letting one sit on me while doing other stuff like drawing and seeing how that goes. I’ve always wanted a pet that would do that
roaches from like, outside or in the house like american or oriental cockroaches will defs be super skittish and hard to catch.

Think of it like Breath of the Wild with the stamina gauge, Dark Souls for leaving simple messages you can encounter online but ALSO see and use their terrain-traversing tools like ladders and ropes, and Spider Man 2 with the pizza delivery mini-game but also if it rains it slowly erodes your packaging and if the ghosts eat you it sets off a nuke.

yes ! most mammals do as far as im aware, just cause our skulls and diets change quite a bit as we mature! puppies get their full adult teeth at around 6 months tho
