48 Apps for Autistics and ADHD’ers (Part 2)

Every needs to know of this lovely app:
It's called Finch and it helps you get tasks done by nurturing this bird! The more tasks you do, the more it grows! You can make currency through doing tasks and completing journeys (you go on a journey every day!). You can use that currency to buy clothes and decorations for the room they stay in! As you grow your lil birdie, more and more stuff unlocks that you can do!
Now it's a free app and you can do a lot with it, even with the free version! If you want extra stuff, though, you can get a subscription (you can either pay for a full year up-front or you can do a monthly subscription, which is what I have! My subscription costs me $9.99 a month). However, that's completely optional.
It's really fun and I know that my new ADHD meds are helping, but this app has just intensified them and it really helps. It gives you options for tasks to do, different "journeys" you can do that you can group an amount of tasks together and once you do them for a so many days you get a prize. It doesn't punish you for not getting things done; it actually gives you the option to reflect on why you didn't get it done and get you thinking about what's bothering you.
It has multiple prompts that ask you about how your feelings about things, gives you exercises to do whenever you're in distress or sad or anxious (breathing exercises, grounding exercises, prompts to reflect or rant about upsetting things, etc.), and also keeps track of your mood throughout the day!
It's just such a sweet app and, while I've only had it for about 7 days now, I'm loving it more and more everyday!
A little tip for all artists (or anyone who just wants to create a whumpee character).
There's this app called 'Magic Poser' where you can put one or more figures into any pose you like.
You can also give them different hair styles, clothes, furnitures or weapon (You have to pay for those. There are also different models. The basic models and a few hair styles are free though.)
This can be really helpful for drawing poses.
So, go crazy if you want. Show me some of your whumpy poses.😉
hey! i want to start sharing helpful apps products etc. i find and use. this is an app i have which has allowed me a TON more japanese emoticons than the keyboard that comes with iphone you can add. you can add it to your keyboard in your setting for tons more japanese emoticons.

University Apps
Hi guys, so I’m starting university next week and I’m in full-on prep mode for that (and I’m kinda low key excited to start my first year).
However, I was wondering if any of you have any apps (phone or computer) that you can recommend (preferably free ones, but I’m willing to pay a one time fee if it’s worth it :D).
For those of you stuck in the same boat as me, I figured I’d make a list of some good ones I’ve used for high school and found for uni:
Lost on Campus: this might just be for Australian’s, but it basically has maps of multiple unis and shows room, food, lecture hall, etc. locations - super helpful
Forest (or a free version I found called Flora): super good to help you stop using your phone while studying or to just keep track of how much study you’ve done. Bonus: you get points, allowing you to grow a real tree in a developing country - I used this all throughout high school, it’s amazing
A soft murmur: it’s practically a whitenoise machine, however, you can do rain, thunder, etc. I don’t particularly find that this helps me concentrate, but it helps me feel calm when doing mindless homework tasks
Student discount apps: (some of these might be Australian exclusive) Studentbeans, Student edge, and UNiDAYS
MyHomework: Allows you to store your timetable and keep track of homework and assessments. I used to use this app in the early days of high school (before my high school created a website for students that had our timetables on it). It’s a little more difficult to use for uni, though, because all classes you input occur in the exact same location for each day and time
Alternately to myHomework, I’m now trying out two different apps - Pocket Schedule Planner and My Study Life
Ooh, this one is a bonus (I actually didn’t even think about it), it’s called The Podcast App - Podcasts: it contains a bunch of different free podcasts, ranging from true crime to fitness to cars, it’s my favourite app
Helpful apps I use almost everyday!
I am not the type of person who likes to bombard her phone with different applications. Aside from the fact that my phone is only 32 GB which makes me space-conscious, I am also the type of person who uses what is useful so when I install a certain application, I always make sure that it helps me or I use it.
