Predominantly female sharks, some mature some juvenile, utilize these warm shallow and sandy bottomed waters to rest, forage and socialize possibly transferring learned behaviors;) Overwhelming majority of tigers observed and sharing peaceful encounters along aggregates are female dominated. Tagged sharks show this homing spot is only one of many visited navigation points for these sharks. They do not stay year round but travel along the continental shelves, offshore seamounts and other points of interests. Humans are actively studying to further understand which sharks go when and where and why. Certain sharks exhibit more residential tendencies whereas others remain almost strictly nomadic. Learned behavior among sharks is still being understood but they are very intelligent and aware of change.
