Chance to Help Protect Peat Bogs in the UK

Been making a few of these posts but another survey has appeared!

 Charities in the UK are calling for a ban on peat being extracted and sold as it destroys habitats for wildlife and increases global warming. The government has opened a consultation - you can share your opinion with the government until the 18th of March. It’s quite quick and simple so if you live in the UK please give it a look!

Magnus, our newly adopted rescue, is so big I had to shrink the picture to fit. In March he was a homeless pet in danger of being euthanized at a shelter, now he has his favorite afternoon nap spot on our bed. In this video from my 2015 trip to Kenya, we see part of a herd we met one afternoon. The youngest here is lucky that his herd is healthy and lives within @lewa_wildlife conservancy. Some baby elephants in other parts of Kenya end up orphaned due to a variety of different reasons. We are raising funds right now to help these orphaned elephants in Northern Kenya.
