We call them the six of crows but Matthias was never a crow. He was pulled out of hell gate, dragged into a heist and when things were finally okay, he .... We all know what happened so don't make me say it.

He was never a part of the dregs and thus, technically, never a crow.

Technically.

This makes me sad.

P.S. In my head and heart he is always a crow.

Crossing All The Lines, a post-Doom Coalition fic (River/Helen)

Pairings: River Song/Helen Sinclair, Helen Sinclair/Liv Chenka, The Doctor/River Song (mentioned)

Summary:

The 1960's did not prepare Helen Sinclair, in any way, for the complicated business of having developed certain feelings for her friend's future wife.

River Song, in turn, is not remotely certain about what to do when she realises that she's smitten for only the second time in her whole life. Which is ridiculous, at her age, frankly, and yet, here she is getting butterflies over one of her husband's old companions, of all the absurd things.

Luckily, these things have a way of working themselves out.

I never realised just how much I shipped Helen/River until I started writing this fic and now like, fuck, Helen is easily the person I ship River with the most, after the Doctor

I don’t know if this is a surprising revelation or not but it feels like one even though it shouldn’t since most of my other River ships are very casual and “lol yeah that would be fun”

this ship is not casual I have a Lot Of Emotions about them ffs

I mean, write it how you want, of course. It’s just a thing I don’t do & I’m super excited about fanfic with River and Helen. Maybe just give me a heads up about which chapters not to read, if necessary. :)

don’t worry, I’m not feeling the need for this to become super explicit. I’m sure I do want to write some smut between them and maybe Liv as well at some point, but this story going to be focusing on nice soft Helen/River more than anything else. amorous kissing at most explicit, probably.
