Mason sighed, running his hands over his face several times over. He was still tired, but there would be no passing out on anyone or anything for some time. He ran his hands along his jeans, clearing them of sweat. New York had really given him time to think things over. The entire plane ride back, Mason had slept or pretended to sleep and when he and Jane arrived back home, he had them driven to the Cape so they could enjoy whatever time they had left together. His parents hadn’t called at all, but he didn’t expect them to. He often disappeared over the weekend or even the weekdays when he felt like it. As long as he wasn’t gone for a straight month or two he probably wouldn’t get a call. He wondered what they would think if they knew where he’d been and what and whom he’d been doing. The smile at the thought quickly fell from his face when he heard the shower stop.
He realized why he’d been so exhausted lately. Why his stomach always hurt and why he always felt the strange need to look over his shoulder all the time. Guilt. It was slowly, but surely killing him. He was sick, keeping his secret from her knowing what he knew. It was too late for either of them to get out of this without getting hurt. He looked up at the sound of the door opening. Completely calm, Mason stood up, shoving his hands in his pockets and waiting. He just hoped Jane wouldn’t kill him. Or if she did that she’d keep him in one piece.

Looking good, McCarthy. NYC? So that’s what you’ve been up to! I’m a little offended that I didn’t get an invite. I expect to hear all about it, when you get back.
Looking good and feeling just as such, Hayward. But I always feel good. Especially after last night. Yes, I’m in New York, the city of apples as it’s called. Decided to take a weekend away Celine Dion style. All by myself. I’ll be sure to invite you along next time, my queen. The city, she sings for beauty, grace, and power. All of which you exude. I have lots to say, Jane. I can’t wait to speak to you very deeply on this matter.
Summary: Mason kidnaps Jane and takes her to Brazil
Warnings: None at the moment
When he woke up that day, Mason had no intention of not going to school. To be perfectly honest, he was hoping to go--especially after passing Mr. Hudson’s surprise test, but then an idea struck him. He hadn’t taken Jane out at all, like he’d promised. They’d met on the roof maybe a few times, but it all ended in sex and holding each other. There had to be some best friend time just aching to be used up. Grabbing his always ready suitcase for his spontaneous moments--which happened often, Mason threw a bunch of clothes, not caring if anything matched or even checking if there was a full outfit at all in his luggage. He grabbed a few things of Jane’s, some of her clothes she’d leave behind after a sleepover with Madison and then later him. He wondered if the staff knew who these items belonged to, but pushed the thought out of his head.
When he got to Jane’s home, he nearly hit Mr. Hayward who was on his way off to work. Mason parked his truck and began profusely apologizing out of his ass, playing the part of the innocent teen that everyone else fell for. Mr. Hayward just laughed and clapped him on the back before leaving for work, tell him to pay attention to his surroundings. He was surprised that the father of his secret girlfriend was still very willing to let Mason even see Jane after the almost accident let alone drive her to school. He stuck behind, waving until Jacob Hayward was gone from sight. Mason turned and jogged to the front door, ringing the doorbell.
He tapped his foot, looking around the yard while he waited for Jane to answer. He was anxious. She’d for sure say no and he’d have to take her kicking and screaming, but that was the worst case scenario. The door opened and Mason smirked at Jane, all dolled up in her uniform. He loved the Cheltenham uniform, especially with Jane’s legs on display like they were. “Good morning, girlfriend, ready to go to school?”
