Listening to the Winter Soldier score with my new headphones, and how did it take me this long to realize that one of the percussion sounds in the Winter Soldier theme is train warning bells? That’s genius. Bucky became the Winter Soldier after falling from that train and being found by Hydra. Henry Jackman, you mad man!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) is still my favorite MCU movie. The hand-to-hand fight scenes, the tension, the spy-thriller tone, the conspiracy aspects, the pacing of the entire story, and Steve Rogers being an stubbornly immovable moral paragon in an unfamiliar world of moral compromises & gray morality is such a great thematic conflict.
We do not give Henry Jackman enough credit for his music on X-Men First Class. This man created one of the best villain themes with Frankensteins Monster. This is the sound of all-consuming vengeance. This is the sound of a man on a mission to kill a Nazi. It is the perfect music for Magneto in that movie
I just want to say how much I love the "Winter Soldier" theme.
It's delightfully ominous and haunting. The heavily-processed and distorted screams, the openness of the soundscape like you're in a frozen wasteland, the mechanical sounds like something is being recalibrated, and the sounds of an engine being started. Then the bizarre clanging and banging, like nothing about this individual is fully functional or coherent, but it's being held together just enough to survive and carry out its tasks.
It's very industrial music—it reminds me of something from The Downward Spiral, or the theme from Quake. Henry Jackman really earned his paycheck imo.
And that's what we call character development.

they really gave us cx-2's theme, made it very similar to the winter soldier's theme, and then don't confirm whether or not cx-2 is tech
they literally winter soldier'd our boy tech and won't admit it
