Heo Gyeonghwan and Kim Jimin's Dating Rumor?

Yesterday, two of Gag Concert's comedians were involved in a dating rumor and dominated Naver, one of Korea's most used portal site (kinda like Google) . Of course, as many of us ship, it was Heo Gyeonghwan and Kim Jimin, and they stayed on "Most searched" for the two days.

The rumor happened because of their appearance on Happy Together. Before the menu was introduced in Late Night Cafeteria, Yoo Jaesuk started off by saying, "Well, I've heard that Jimin and Gyeonghwan have a romance going on?" He was referring to their previous dating rumor when Heo Gyeonghwan revealed on Mamma Mia that they promised to marry each other if they get too old and that they text at night. 

Jimin and Gyeonghwan shook their heads and tried to deny it, but Park Misun said, "They text in middle of the night and call each other."

Kim Junhyun then added the final blow, "They don't just text. When we share a room while filming Human Condition, he goes into our room, sometimes locks the door, and calls her and talks with her for more than 45 minutes." 

Kim Jimin tried to explain, "I didn't do a very good job at a variety show shoot that day, so Gyeonghwan oppa called me and gave me advice." Shin Bongsun and Kim Minkyung then teased Gyeonghwan by saying, "Why do you only give advice to her? You never gave advice to me." Yoo Minsang and Kim Minkyung started teasing them by singing Badump Badump's theme song.

Kim Junhyun continied by saying, "No, but the important thing is this. He says, "Okay, sleep tight, Jimin," then hangs up the phone and smiles like he's in love. He does that smile," and Kim Junhyun demonstrated. Yoo Minsang and Kim Minkyung started singing the Badump Badump theme song again.

Park Misun then mentioned, "Well, Jimin's careful because she had a public relationship with another comedian before," mentioning Yoo Sangmoo, Jimin's ex-boyfriend. Shin Bongsun then joked, "She's been there before."Jimin flustered, asked, "Been where before? It's not like I got married."

Park Myungsoo then asked, "Gyeonghwan, what do you think? It's not wrong to have a past."

Gyeonghwan then said, "I'm really sorry to say this, but I thought if you don't know someone's past, you can date them, but if you know it, you could never date someone. But..." He let his words trail off and Kim Minkyung said, "But what?" 

Gyeonghwan's face turned red, showing that Jimin was an exception and he said, "Every once in a while, I think, just maybe." The PD wittingly added captions that read, "Because it's you, Jimin."

People started singing the Badump Badump song again, and Park Misun retaliated, "You have a past too, Gyeonghwan." Jimin then said, "I don't care about his past, but he has too many girls." Shin Bongsun then asked, "What if he says to you, 'I'll take care of all the other girls, do you wanna date?' What will you say?" 

Jimin shook her head and said, "Boys can never fix their habits," causing laughter. Yoo Jaesuk and Shin Bongsun continued to tease her by saying, "Although she says that, she already fell for him. We can tell in her face. She's like a girlfriend bickering with her boyfriend."

Later, when Jimin's menu came out for the Late Night Cafeteria, people said that it was a little too fishy because of the seaweed and flying fish egg involved in it. Yoo Minsang then teased Jimin by saying, "She made it thinking of Gyeonghwan's hometown, Tongyeong." Tongyeong is by the seaside. (^^ Go Tongyeong! Random sidenote, I'm from Tongyeong too.)

Park Misun then stated, "They're boy and girl from the seaside." Other people agreed and said, "When they were young, they both grew up by the sea." As mentioned before, Tongyeong is right by the sea and Jimin's hometown, Donghae is right by the East Sea. 

Kim Jimin shook her head and said, "Don't try to tie us together," but people started singing the song, "Love Story of a Country Boy". The song's about love of country kids, and in Happy Together, they sang the part, "He tied the grasses together, and added in flowers for her," which is the part where the boy prepares flowers for her.

Heo Gyeonghwan then jokingly said, "Did you pack a lunch?" in strong Busan accent to Jimin, and Jimin said, "I don't know, oppa," back in an accent and smiled shyly. This caused laughter because the lines that they said are famous and represents first love in the country for South Koreans.

Yoo Jaesuk teased them by saying, "She responded to him, they're meant for each other." He also added, "Another reason Gyeonghwan and Jimin go well together is because they both have a little bit of bluffing." Other comedians strongly agreed and called them the "Bluff Couple". Bluff means pretending to act fancy and caring a lot about their looks. 

Jimin then said, "When I go into the Gag Concert meeting room with my hair swept to one side, sunglasses on although it's not sunny, and a tumbler cup with coffee inside by hand, people go like, 'What are you doing? You're bluffing again,' and yell at me. Then ten minutes later, Gyeonghwan oppa comes in the exact same way just like me wearing sunglasses and holding a tumbler cup." 

The members then agreed and said, "They're so much alike, they're a match made in heaven." 

After the episode aired, people started bringing up their suspicions of them dating and that eventually spread into dating rumors. In Korea, they call this, "some-nam some-nyeo" which is a new way of calling a boy and girl with something going on between them. I also wanted to include a part of my favorite article about this. "They're reminding people of the Badump Badump couple in Gag Concert. In fact, many people started calling them the real Badump Badump couple, masking their feelings with the words, "best friend". And although Kim Jimin says, 'Gyeonghwan has too many girls, I could never date him,' her actions say different things. Many netizens commented that they can tell in the way they look at each other that they already like each other and that they're already definitely more than friends."

I really hope the best for this couple because I love them so much! You really need to see this which is why I can't wait for KBSWorld to sub this! My heart fluttered when I actually heard it.
