"there are no unredeemable people, only unrepentant people," includes fascists by the way. it includes pedophiles. it includes donald trump. it includes elon musk. it includes the israeli occupation forces.
it's one of the hardest pills of communism to swallow: that all people, even the most cruel and evil people imaginable, can in fact be redeemed provided they put in the effort and reparations. they are simply unrepentant.
it is our job to create a world where human rights are mandatory and not privileges that can be taken away. it is our job to restore indigenous autonomy and make reparations for minorities. it is our job to create an equitable society beyond the golden grip of capitalism.
it is our job to create a society where neither the fascists nor the bourgeoisie—who work hand-in-hand—can never again have control over the workers.
it is our job to provide the material conditions and education to better each other. it is their job to leave their ideologies and treat other people with equity.
there will come a time when we have to sacrifice punitive justice for true human equity. we will need to emotionally suffer and exercise restraint in the short term for the benefit of all of humanity to follow.
we must set the example.
we cannot expect to create a society beyond the death penalty, prisons, slavery, and capital punishment without accepting this fact.
