Two years ago, I met Emily. I was 22 without a steady job and didn’t have a single clue about what I wanted to do with my life. A few days after we met I started to have some health scares but from the moment I told her what was going on she was there by my side doing everything from coming to doctor’s appointments with me to comforting me when I felt lost and confused not knowing what diagnosis I’d receive (Don’t worry, my health is just fine now). She has been here for me both physically and mentally when I need her most and these past two years have been filled with so many amazing memories that I will cherish forever. To the anon asking about meeting genuine lesbians on dating apps: personally, I avoid Her like the plague, but I've had some luck with OkCupid. They let you search by sexuality and gender identity, so I just hide everyone who isn't a lesbian or bi woman and that weeds out a lot of people. Then I just pay quite a bit of attention to what's written in their profile and how they answer certain questions. And I avoid publicly answering questions like "would you date a trans person?"
