Wait, have you already talked about that French military program against omnics ? I mean, I have my lot of headcanons about "what the hell were french doing when Deutschland and Swiss were building Overwatch", so I'll very interested to hear yours. ( Tell us everything about secret biological researches of the CNRS *_*)

I did mentioned it a few times but never went into details (It’s always kinda a work in progress thing, it’s also a part of Caveira’s main plot, so it needs to be polished) :DI like to assume that every country’s government or even just citizens from all around the world had all their own answers to the Omnic Crisis.The US got their SEP soldiers, Germany their Crusaders, Korea their Mekas and etc.France had their Seraphs.Or at least tried to have them, creating beings capable of generating fire and use them as weapons against combat type of omnics was possible, they found out how but it didn’t worked as they hoped… Things went sideways.Project Hephaestus, as it was called, had to deal with the loss of a lot of soldiers who suffered from side effects of the program, the government had to stop it. But the program went on, carried in secrecy under the government’s nose (Who’s holding the strings now? I’m not going to spoil right now even if I dropped a few hints there and there… xD). They ended up with 7 subjects, one fled midway to completion (Run Caveira, run), the six others were fully operational. That’s where Overwatch came in and everything about Project Hephaestus vanished.

Totally out of the terf thing so idk for that, but quite agree on the experiment things, tho it’s not the same background, I mean, stated by game’s writer, she’s considering everybody as a way to experiment (science before conscience and all). Personally for me she doesn’t have any racist bias, she’s using/hating/judging every human as rat lab.

I mean look again I’m not going to excommunicate people who like her or don’t hate her as much as me or whatever. But all her abilities are Gabe’s minus the incredible pain and dehumanization, she experimented on him, using Black and Latino men as guinea pigs for white personal gain is a proud tradition in medicine and academia. I don’t think the writers consciously meant for that historical homage to be there but it’s there, and they’re not willing to do the work to address it. Again I both have my own personal shit experiences with medical professionals and have done all my major academic work on xenphobia/racism in health care systems, M/oira’s kind of tailor made for me to hate. If you don’t share my exact views on her, I don’t think you’re a bad person or whatever.
