Here’s another Hermit Thrush.

The thing I really like about the Burke Lake Banding Station is that they take the time to show, explain and educate the people who visit.

One of the workers was blowing on the feather to show the kids what the skin of a bird looks like; while doing this, researchers can make note of the fat content the bird has (critical for wintering and for migrating!)

I believe the nets managed to catch quite a few of the Hermit Thrushes today as well; I love the feathers on their breast.
