BioDiv lore comic!
It is the culture of this planet that those who are meeting for the first time must dance together. Not for long, but a dance nonetheless.
(Cult Leader has no idea he’s ace yet so he doesn’t clock how people can take his charisma and dancing as a flirting attempt)
(Yes this is an excuse to make the cult leader and the hero dance together, but there is actual story value I promise)

Cult shenanigans are happening on the Hero’s ship but it’s all happening under the radar so the Hero does some sleuthing.
The Hero discovers that someone has been reading the ship logs and specifically the notes on where they are going next. Every time they mention a place that’s going to be visited by either their ship or a ship from the space navy, there’s cultists there for an ambush. Shit is happening on this ship, and they’ve got a Betrayer.
So a plan is concocted. Tell each person a fake location and send a scout team to each location to snipe the cult if they appear there. Lo and behold, they appear. And they appeared. And the guy who they talked to? The fuckass android twink.
Okay. Since he’s the Betrayer, he needs to be dealt with. He can’t be dealt with head on because his metal is way stronger than the Hero’s meat suit. So the Hero needs a weapon. Engineering has some stuff that could be used as a weapon. Grab a sledgehammer and smash him to pieces. Yeah. She’ll do it at night, too, so he gets caught by surprise. She’ll do it tonight.
“I have had a vision.”
Oh?
“A vision of a murder.”
Ah.
“It is preventable, so stay in your rooms and lock the doors.”
Bruh

“We’ll be fine.”
“*screams of pain and anguish*”
“I think we might be screwed.”

Biodiv continues!
Weeks pass. No progress is made. The Captain is too hotheaded to be reasonable, the cult leader is too arrogant to take him seriously, the Prophet is cringing herself into an early grave because of these two, the Hero is wondering if they can get away with assassinating the Cult Leader, and the cult leader’s enforcer is just standing in the background of every conversation. Menacingly.
Eventually the Cult Leader gets bored of the Captain and calls off negotiations. He gives them a single chance to get forgiveness from the Star Eater. The Captain, being stupidly attached to his android, says fuck that. Both storm out of the negotiation room. One back to his ship, the other going to the center of his citadel.
The center of the Prophet’s Cathedral was overgrown and decaying. Beautiful stone architecture being taken by time. It had been centuries since the last prophet of the planet had been chosen. The last real one, anyway. The Cult Leader went there to think and process stuff.
And his Enforcer stood right behind him. Always.
Are you ready for me to make a comic :D
