What I wore today Wednesday May 27, 2027
Cheryl Tiegs with architecture in New York City for Vogue, September 1973. Photograph by Kourken Pakchanian.
“Small and straight–the man’s overcoat coat by Kaspar for John Leslie, over a lean matching skirt in rust herringbone tweed, rust cashmere crewneck, and shirt (not shown), Bottega Veneta bag.”
After two failed attempts at making Arrietty a pair of shoes, I decided to make the other items for her outfit: first of all, this tweed coat.
Also made her an apron and a petticoat.
Repurposed fabrics: her embroidered apron and petticoat I cut from a vintage souvenir doll; sewing a waistband on the apron and adjusting the petticoat in the right size.
The moss green herringbone tweed for her inverness cape I cut from a thrifted human sized jacked. For the lining I used a bedsheet.
The yellow crêpe georgette I cut from a thrifted human sized blouse.
Queenofsquids made her green silk dress; Arrietty is a Smartdoll Monday.
