What do the COTT character's handwriting look like?

Jay doesn’t do cursive writing often. It’s something he does know how to do, but 90% of the time, he’s printing everything. He really only uses cursive if it’s required or if he’s signing his name. His cursive slants to the left. The letters are large but tightly packed together. The loops aren’t really at all visible. His printing is a lot tidier and he’s really kind of proud of how neat his printing is. Again, the letters are on the larger side. He never forgets to cross his t’s or dot his I’s. It’s pretty picture-perfect printing, like something you’d see in an old workbook. The most notable feature is that his w’s, m’s, and n’s are on the sharp side, pointy instead of rounded. In my head, it looks like a large version of Raline.

Theresa uses cursive almost all the time, not only because she was taught it from an early age but because she genuinely likes the way it looks. She’s even learned calligraphy just because she wanted to find ways to make her writing look even prettier. Her cursive leans on the fancier looking side of things. It resembles a lot of the handwriting fonts you’d find online and just ooh and ahh over how pretty it looks. She puts a lot of extra’s into her writing, just to make it look as pretty as possible, and it’s very looping and graceful in its letter. To me, it looks a lot like Gista Danes.

Archie’s handwriting is a mixture between printing and cursive, leaning a lot heavier towards the printing. It’s not because he particularly thinks his printing looks better or anything but because when he writes, it’s normally hurried. He writes like he’s running out of time, like death is right at his heels and he’s only got seconds to get all the thoughts and ideas in his head out or only has seconds to convey some bit of information. Because of this, his writing tends to be scrawling. He’s light in his strokes so some of his letters are more bold than others and not all of his letters close up properly, plus he has a bad tendency to not properly cross his t’s all the time and the I’s are always missing dots. In my head, his writing looks a lot like Biro Script Sloppy.

Atlanta truly does mix up cursive and printing all into one. Unlike Archie, it’s a true mixture, where she uses elements of both styles at the same time. A lot of her individual letters resemble more printing, but she strings them all together in a way that most closely resembles cursive writing. On top of that, specific letter, like those with tails, are loopy and more closely resemble the cursive versions, just because she likes the way those look more. To me, her writing looks kind of like September Spirit.

Neil’s handwriting is just as bold as he is. It truly fits his character and he makes sure it stands out just as much as he does. He’s practiced his autograph a million and one times and because he fears anyone judging his writing style or accusing him of being sloppy, he’s taken pains to learn to write legibly and in a way that he thinks looks snazzy. A lot of his letters are kind of sharp…it’s the best way I can think of to describe it. They don’t loop either at all or very little. His w’s and m’s have pointy tops and bottoms, his t’s have very little lines and the lines tend to slope down. He’s really heavy on his writing utensil, making sure to leave deep impressions on the paper. To me, his writing most closely resembles Duffy Script Demi-Bold.

Herry prefers writing with pencil rather than pen. It’s easier to erase mistakes that way. His handwriting is a little messy and the letters are unevenly spaced. Some are close to each other while others, especially vowels, tend to be spaced a little bit away from the others. His i’s have big bold tops and his letters are often fully closed on things like o’s. He accidentally often presses harder than he needs to when writing, so the letters leave deep impressions on the page and are rather bold. To me, his writing most closely resembles Conte Script Plus Bold.

Odie’s handwriting is almost always printed, not cursive. His cursive is a little bit terrible, to be honest, and somewhat illegible. He can always read his writing but other people do struggle. His handwriting comes across as hurried and scrawling, but also meticulous at the same time. You can tell he goes back to close letters or improve the looks of some of the letters. In my head, his writing looks almost identical to Skribblugh SS1.

Class of the Titans fanart!

YouTube reccomendations showed me this show and it's absolutely ridiculous (and fun)! The writing and animation is Dino Squad quality but that's what makes it so great! I also learned a lot about greek mythology too!

Basically the show is about decendants of greek heroes fighting evil and also hanging out at greek myth school too I guess.

Neil (the blonde one) is my favorite! He's the only one not related to a hero - hes related to Narcissus (hence the self obsession)

For day 6 of the event, I used #16 from prompt 7 for the heroes from Class of the Titans. I went more with just the kind of theme of the sentence, instead of the actual sentence itself, so the headcanons are more about how they feel about dressing up for prom, what they would wear, etc. I hope any fans of the series enjoy it, as this was a super fun post to think about and write!

“This invitation says I have to wear a dress/tuxedo. This is stupid!”

Jay

Jay has absolutely no problems with the fact that he’ll have to wear a suit to prom. He knew that when he decided that he wanted to go to prom. It only makes sense for formal dress to be required and he was prepared for that when he asked his date to the prom, when he bought the tickets, etc. In fact, in Jay’s opinion, it’s kind of nice to get a chance to dress up all fancy and live it up with your friends for one last night before graduation happens and everyone scatters to wherever they’re heading for the next chapter of their life.

Jay doesn’t really put a super lot of thought into what he’s going to wear to prom. He knows right away that it’s going to have to be a tux, just because there’s not near as many options for formal menswear as there is for women’s prom outfits. He rents his tux, as he has no reason to own one and that’s a hefty splurge to buy one outright.

Jay does prefer a preppier, more classic style and that factors into the tuxedo he eventually decides to rent. It’s very traditional, right down to the black bowtie and he makes sure it’s well-fit to his body. He’ll have tried on more than a handful of suits and tux’s before deciding on something like the below picture.

Theresa

Theresa is absolutely beyond excited for prom. Not only is she head of the prom committee, but she’s been thinking about what she’d wear for prom since about grade 10. Like most teenagers, she really doesn’t get the opportunity to dress up like some princess and dance with a cute boy and have a huge party with her friends. Her father had tried to get her to do a debutante ball, but her friends wouldn’t have been allowed and she really wasn’t into that kind of thing, so prom is her only chance to have that big moment, as far as she’s concerned.

Theresa is definitely putting a lot of work into finding the perfect dress. She has so many options and she never could iron out exactly what kind of style of dress she wanted. A large part of her really wants that princess style ball-gown, with the big fluffy skirt, but she also really likes the look of a mermaid gown. She knows she wants something full length and nothing too low-cut. Other than that, she isn’t sure what style or colour she wants. Black and white are too overused, so she does want something with some colour or maybe some sparkle, something to stand out. She goes to a lot of different stores and tries on probably over 40 dresses before she settles on her final choice. In a slight moment of really taking advantage of her privilege, cost was never an issue or something that entered her mind while prom shopping and she also really splurges on hair and makeup for the big night.

She definitely ends up wearing something with a fuller, fluffier skirt. I think that was non-negotiable for Theresa at the end of it. However, I think her initial thoughts of what she wanted wasn’t actually what she wanted. She ended up being really attracted to the two-piece sets, with a crop top and a long skirt. It was unique enough that she didn’t feel like all the others would be wearing it, and she found one that she felt set off her colouring and suited her body the best. She feels like a million dollars in it, and at the end of the night, that’s all that matters. She’d be wearing something like the picture below.

Archie

Archie isn’t the most comfortable in fancy clothing. If it was up to him, everyone could just wear whatever they wanted to prom, especially since he considers it kind of biased against those who don’t have a lot of extra income to spend on things like tuxes and suits. However, he knows that nothing he says, or how loud he complains, is going to change decades of tradition, though he does try. He sucks it up and does decide to rent a suit.

Despite how against formal wear Archie is, he does actually put a lot of thought into what he’s going to wear to prom. He is the one of the few who thinks to ask his date what they’re going to wear before he actually goes shopping for suits, to find out if they want him to keep to any colour scheme or anything. Any hints makes it easier for him to figure out what to wear. With their opinions, he kind of has a vision of what to get. He prefers a suit over a more formal tux, and he’d prefer something a little bit different from what everyone else will be wearing. Blending into the crowd of guys stuffed into penguin suits sounds like no fun to Archie, and he definitely puts a lot more consideration into suits that are patterned, are different colours than black, or have small unique details.

I think in the end, he settles for a well-fitting suit in a non-traditional colour, like the picture below. It suits him really well actually, and he does think he looks really cool in it. He also makes sure to get his hair dyed the day before prom, so that any roots are covered and his hair is nice and vivid in the prom photos.

Atlanta

Plain out and out, Atlanta really wants to go to prom and have fun with her friends, but she really is the type who just doesn’t feel comfortable in a dress. She can’t move as well in it; she doesn’t feel like she can dance at all in a dress and heels, and it just makes no sense to her that she should have to make herself unhappy and uncomfortable for that long just because ‘that’s the way it’s always been’. She definitely petitions the prom committee for women to have the right to wear suits or pant outfits that fit the formal requirements.

Once she has gained that permission, Atlanta actually enjoys going prom shopping with Theresa, though she does get really tired after about the fifth store that Theresa drags her too. She found exactly what she wanted at that fifth store, so she didn’t see any point of going to a bunch more stores, though she humors her friend and doesn’t complain…too much, at least.

Atlanta rocks the suit look for women. Because she’s naturally very drawn to nature inspired tones, she picks a suit in a non-traditional colour, something in a dark green or a jewel tone. I could really picture her in something like the below picture.

Herry

Herry really doesn’t care all that much about what he’s wearing to prom. He’s just super-hyped about the whole thing. He and the whole group are planning on going to this restaurant he’s been wanting to try since forever to eat before prom, along with their dates and he’s really looking forward to that, to going and having fun with everyone at the dance, and then heading to Neil’s after-party. He knows Neil enough to know it’s going to be a weird and wild event and overall, having to squeeze his huge body into a formal suit for the chance to do all this? It’s nothing he can’t handle.

Herry actually does pay attention to the dress code for the prom and, after several students do complain, the requirements for attire are a little less strict than previous years, which actually cheers him up immensely. He’d been having a really hard time finding a button-down suit and a tie to fit his frame, so he leans a little more on the casual side.

He definitely still wears a proper suit. It’s actually an old one of his grandfather’s that Herry gets tailored to fit him better and to update it a little. But because it’s allowed, he personalizes the look a bit more to him by wearing a dark t-shirt under the suit instead of a button-down and tie. He chooses his accessories carefully and does spend quite a bit more time than he normally does on his hair. I imagine him heading to prom in something like the below picture!

Odie

Odie really isn’t much into the idea of a suit and tie. He wants to go to prom, but there was a time when he was considering skipping it, just to avoid the whole tuxedo ordeal. He’s small and slight of frame and finding a full out tuxedo to fit him is no easy task, and that’s not even going into how uncomfortable he is.

It’s not until the requirements for prom attire come out that Odie decides there just might be hope in him being able to attend prom. He does a lot of thrift store shopping and rummages through hand-me-downs from older family members. He wants something that feels true to who he is and shows his own personal sense of style, so he has a real specific look in mind. He does eventually find something.

I think he goes with the latest trend of tucking a casual hoodie under a blazer and dress pants, for a look that’s both relaxed and comfortable but also formal. He goes and has his hair done up professionally for the prom and he’s minimal but tasteful for his accessory choices. I could see him rocking something like the below picture!

Neil

Oh, but fashion, dressing up, carefully choosing outfits, and getting a chance to play with all that? That is so up Neil’s alley that it’s not even funny! He actually looks forward to choosing his look for prom just the tiniest bit more than he’s looking forward to the prom itself and he’s looking forward to that almost more than his body can withstand. Neil is definitely the person who is planning not only his outfit but also his date’s outfit, because they can’t clash with him. Their outfits have to compliment each other, not distract, or battle against them.

Neil likes to play with fashion rules, and he definitely keeps up on trends. He’d want something new and trendy, while also showing off his fantastic figure. He wears clothes so well. He’d want to still remain formal, but also wants something that has a bit of an edge to it, something a little bit more memorable than just a boring tux. It’s also really important to Neil though that the outfit photograph extremely well.

Neil figures out that you can never go wrong with just basic black. He plays up the ‘bad boy rebel’ style and image in his choice of what to wear and ends up with an all-black ensemble like the one below. I feel he’s actually really smart in the accessories he chooses – a pair of small stud earrings in his left ear and a classy looking, expensive watch.

I was wondering for a headcannon: How would the cast of Class of the Titans react to you being some kind of God, like a God of Gossip, but willingly working with Cronus?

It’s very sweet of you and definitely made me smile 😊 I’m more than happy to write this for you, though it ended up being a little short and maybe not so much what you were hoping for. Thank you for requesting it though, it was really exciting to see a request for an underloved fandom on here, and I hope you’ll enjoy the headcanons regardless!

So, very obviously, the reactions from those around this person would wildly differ based on one really important thing. How well do the heroes actually know this person? Because their reactions to them just discovering that Cronus has a God on his side, without ever really having met that God before in their lives, and simply being introduced to them as an adversary right from the start, is going to be completely and drastically different from a situation where the heroes have gotten to know this person, who has been pretending to be on their side all along, who has developed friendships or some sort of acquaintanceship, maybe even a relationship, with the sole purpose of getting information to feed back to Cronus and who they learn, in a moment, has betrayed them all.

The two reactions aren’t even going to be in the same ballpark. They’re going to be almost diametrically opposed to each other because, while both situations will kind of suck, there’s really no comparing being faced with a tough opponent to beat to learning that someone who you liked and who you thought had your back has decided to stab you in said back.

Going with the example provided, where the person in question is indeed Pheme, Greek God of both fame and renown and rumor and gossip, they likely have kind of valid reasons for working with Cronus. Depending on which Greek myths we want to go with, Pheme was the child of Gaia, making Cronus at least their half-brother. With all that time stretched out behind them, there’s no doubt in my mind that there’s probably all kinds of family history. There could very well be blackmail. Pheme could feel like they have to fight on Cronus’ side because, ya know, family…or Gaia could have a hand in it, pushing Pheme to get involved.

Of course, Pheme could also just be in it for the kicks and giggles, depending on what you want.

Either way, if they’re simply introduced as a new big bad, I do see the heroes reactions being pretty much the same reaction as they have towards any other bad guy. They’re pretty sick and tired of there always having to be something new to fight. It doesn’t help that Pheme is honestly quite powerful and clever, and their plans keep getting screwed up because of them.

They keep trying to find ways to either defeat Pheme or convince Pheme to leave Cronus’ side and come to the side of good. Like, really, spending that much time around Cronus can’t be fun, right? Right? Plus, as Neil assures them, spending all that time dealing with Cronus’s plots and plans has left them no time for self-care and their skin is starting to show it…and let’s not even mention the hair.

Jay, especially, makes it clear to Pheme that they always have to choice to do what is right, but if they insist on sticking by Cronus’ side until the very end, the heroes can and will defeat Pheme.

Now, of course, in the situation where Pheme had been undercover, pretending to help the heroes and forming those bonds with them, the reaction is going to much more drastic. After all, this is someone the heroes had trusted, someone they thought they knew, and they’ve just learned that everything was a lie, that Pheme has betrayed them all on a grand scale, has put them in danger multiple times, and might even have caused some injuries to the heroes during occasions when they’d fought Cronus.

The immediate reaction from every single one of the heroes is going to be anger. There’s not a single one of the characters, save for Cronus, who is gleefully, maniacally happy and who is rubbing it in the heroes faces, who is not going to be completely and utterly pissed off.

I think, though, that Jay and Archie are the ones who remain the angriest about it. Both of them blame themselves, in some way, for not having been more vigilant, for not having seen the betrayal coming.

Odie and Theresa, once their anger has cooled down some, are the heroes that are more likely to try to find excuses for Pheme’s betrayal. They’re the ones searching for reasons for why they did what they did and they’re the ones who would be most likely to buy completely into a sob story or the ones most willing to help Pheme out, should they honestly want to defect from Cronus’ side, and are the ones most open to trusting Pheme again.

Archie and Neil are the ones who will most hotly debate ever helping Pheme out. For both boys, they just don’t think they can ever trust Pheme again. They’ll give ever single reason why none of the heroes should trust Pheme, will be the ones almost begging the others to see logic, and the ones most opposed to helping this being that has betrayed them.

Atlanta and Herry waver in between being pissed and being worried for someone they once counted as a friend. They want to help Pheme, should it come out that they’re being forced into what they’re doing, they want to believe the best about Pheme, but at the same time, they are still really angry about what happened and they’re not quite at the stage where they can easily forgive what happened.

Jay? He’s just trying to do his best to function and keep his team together in the face of such betrayal. He’s questioning everything, to the point he’s a little paranoid. Who else could betray them? Why didn’t he see it? Is he even worthy of leading this team if he’s so blind to what, as he can now see in hindsight, should have been obvious clues that things weren’t on the level?

It really shakes them, each one of them, to their core.

Meanwhile, as mentioned, Cronus does everything he can to gloat about his minor victory over the teens and he finds every excuse he can to dispatch Pheme to fight the heroes, or to have them show up everywhere he can, just to rub the heroes faces in what happened, just to try to break their spirits even more.

For one of the event days, I did the below fandom prompt for Class of the Titans. While the show is definitely older, I still love it dearly and think it still holds up well. I love being able to share ideas for the show for any remaining fans of it, and hope they’ll enjoy the below headcanons 😊

Which character enjoys a nice nap?

Out of all of them, it’s Herry to me. While he’s perfectly fine being up, active, and on the go, he’s also not at all averse to just kicking back and relaxing. While he and his Granny did a lot of exciting things together, life with Granny was definitely more low-key and relaxed than the life he’s leading in New Olympus. He just can’t adjust and keeps that relaxed vibe, including taking long naps whenever he feels the need or whenever he has downtime but doesn’t really want to do anything.

Which character is the most emotional?

To me, this is a surprising two-way tie. While all of the heroes can be very emotional at times, as they are all only human, these two are either the most over-the-top about their emotions or they really don’t know how to handle them the best. When I say over-the-top, of course I’m referring to Neil. He’s very much an emotional man, very ego and emotion driven as a person. He’s not shy about speaking up about his emotions and creates scenes when he feels like he’s not being appreciated properly or whenever anything even the tiniest bit bad happens to him, so I do feel he’s quite a bit more openly emotional than the others. However, when it comes to someone who is really emotional but has zero idea how to healthily handle their emotions, that is always Theresa to me. Sure, she might snark, she might try to talk to people about how she’s feeling, but she’s really not the best at it. It always comes across to the others as her talking at them, which can lead to some fights. She also pushes down a lot of her feelings, because she’s just not sure how to properly deal with them, how to change the situations causing those feelings, or she feels like she can’t do anything about them. She bottles up and bottles up and then blows up, making her the other tie for a character that, in my opinion, is incredibly emotional and emotion driven as a person.

Which character can play an instrument?

It’s canon that Theresa is a talented lyre player. However, I do headcanon that Archie can play the drums. He got into it in middle school, something to divert some of the anger he has into, and the act of playing the drums really does soothe him. I also think Neil owns a guitar and has half-heartedly tried to learn to play it, if only to appeal to a whole new audience as a rock star, but the strings hurt his fingers when he tried to play and left unsightly red marks on them, so he just gave up.

Which character tends to bottle things up?

As mentioned above, my biggest contender for this is definitely Theresa. However, I also do think that Jay, because of the pressure he feels to really be a confident leader and to always know what to do, does have a bad habit as well when it comes to bottling up any feelings that he believes make him look weak. Archie tries to bottle up feelings, thinking it would be easier that way, but it never works out for him. He can’t easily damper down and not express his emotions, in the various ways he does.

Which character is the best leader material?

The answer here is completely obvious, so I’m sorry for it not being much of a surprise. Jay is listed as ‘The Leader’, he’s addressed that way, it’s his whole shtick. And that’s for good reason. While he was nervous about being a leader at first, we see him really grow into the role throughout the series and become more comfortable with it. He’s the guy everyone else looks to, the one that not only keeps them all together, but keeps them functioning well as a unit.

Which character has the best singing voice?

I guess I should technically say Theresa, given her voice actor’s fame as Barbie in most of the movies, where she always sings, but her singing voice, while okay, isn’t something that necessarily really appeals to me or that I think is amazing. So, I wanted to explore some other characters that I think have good singing voices – Cronus does, though he sings rarely. He’s got range though and is great at keeping on beat. Archie has a good voice, but he’s a little tone-deaf so he can’t keep the beat while singing without tapping or drumming away on his drums. His voice is very rock-bandesque. Specifically, he’s got one of those voices that would sound great in an alt-rock band.

Which character has the best fashion sense?

This is totally Neil’s jam. The man is obsessed with looking his best and that, of course, extends into the realm of fashion. He is omnivorous when it comes to information about fashion. He knows the history of clothing, he knows the ins and outs of different fabrics, he’s got great colour sense, is up on all the latest trends, and knows his designers. He likes to claim he’s allergic to anything fast-fashion, that only designer clothes are safe to put on his body. While he strives for a casual cool style, he can definitely dress up to the nines as well. While he is, of course, his number one priority when it comes to looking good, he’s also got a really good sense of what will look good on others too, knows how to make their unique bodies shine with clothing. Despite offering help with the other’s fashion choices though, the other’s don’t really take him up on the offers. Might have to do with him being more than a little obnoxious in his wording of the offers, who knows?

Which character has an insatiable sweet tooth?

Herry is, of course, a big eater. That’s proven time and time again. I think he’s really got a huge sweet tooth though, with dessert being almost mandatory for him. I also do think that Theresa has a hidden sweet tooth, though she tries hard not to over-indulge because she does worry about her figure and her health.

Which character has suffered the worst injuries?

While all the heroes really do get battered and bruised up throughout the series, I have to say Jay really does win out. He did actually die in an episode, so that probably does count as the worst injury one can get, even if he did come back from it.

Which character would survive in an apocalypse?

Every single one of them. There’s not a single one of these lovelies who wouldn’t figure out some plan to survive in an apocalypse setting. They all have their own unique talents and they’re all very skilled. Even the least combative inclined of them, like Odie and Neil, would figure out ways to survive. Neil does it out of blind, dumb luck while Odie holes up in a safe bunker and uses technology to ensure his survival. Of course, their best bet is to find each other, join up, and not only survive but start creating a new world together after an apocalypse happens, because they really do shine the brightest and get the most done when they are all together.

Which character is most likely to drunk text someone?

Theresa would not only drunk text but would drunk call. If the person stopped answering their phone or didn’t answer in the first place, she’d be the crazy drunk girl leaving voicemail after voicemail for the person. She’d be so ashamed and embarrassed by her behaviour afterwards and would take steps to not get that drunk again. Odie, in a surprising twist, is also one who would definitely drunk text. He’s a chatterbox of a drunk, though a good spirited one, and alcohol gives him the liquid courage to say every little thing that’s on his mind. He rambles, goes on tangents, sends texts that don’t make a lot of sense, but he’s having the time of his life doing so.

Which two characters would get along well if they met?

Okay, so I’m placing this question and the next in the realm of an AU, where none of the others have ever met and they just happen to meet, as normal students, without any necessity for them to spend time with each other. In such a case, I really do still see Archie and Atlanta getting along well, forging a pretty strong friendship.

Which two characters would get into a fight if they met?

Like the other question, this is kind of set AU! I do think that Neil would have fought with everyone when they met him, because he does take a while to warm up to as a person. He comes across very arrogant and more than a little self-absorbed until you get to know him and people tend to dislike him right away. I also do think that, just meeting each other without having to be together, Archie and Theresa would never get along. They’re just too opposite and they’d rub each other the wrong way.

Which character is easiest to get in the head-space of?

While it’s a lovely challenge writing any of the characters, even the ones I don’t find as easy to write, I will admit to finding Herry, Odie, and Neil the easiest to write for. Archie is hit or miss, depending on the topic, while Jay is the hardest for me to write, though I still enjoy doing so and hope that practice makes perfect.
