Lusia "Lucy" Harris, the first and ONLY woman drafted by the NBA, died Tuesday at age 66 in Mississippi. She played on the very first U.S. women's basketball team at the 1976 Summer Olympics, and she was the first woman to score a basket during the games. She led the U.S. to win a silver medal. The New Orleans Jazz drafted her into the NBA in 1977, but she was pregnant and declined the offer, believing it to be a publicity stunt. She played in the Women's Professional Basketball League from 1979-80 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1992. #HerWork #HerStory #HerLife #HustleHers #WNBA #NBA #WomenInSport Cindy Ord/Getty Images https://www.instagram.com/p/CY7ZbDqlkX3/?utm_medium=tumblr
