Almost Cauldron Theta

As i continued my clockwise exploration, after dispatching some Glinthawks and a Scorcher i discovered a cave entrance near some lava flows. Slowly i drew nearer and saw the telltale triangle shapes denoting a cauldron!

Cautiously i ventured in up to the point of no return:

Fantastic! But this will have to wait...Turning the other way, a clearer view of that damned tower...

Night fell again and i could see the Griffith Observatory dome peeking out from the fog...i really wanna get in there...so many goodies i can see but not access...yet.

After finally overriding the core, i took the elevator to normal ground level for that amazing breath of fresh air. It's such a unique feeling that only emerging from a deep dark place can give you. What was so interesting about this was that i was brought up to what looks like a shrine or altar at the very edge of the map:

If this has been a thing, i've never seen it before. What is all this? What is it for? What does it mean? I dunno but i love it!

Ugh God...this...THIS is what i got myself into...Not that i thought any different...but just...

So many pods 🤦🏻‍♀️

And of course....there's the core, just sitting out there sooooo easy to take. We all know better. Did anyone actually use the geysers? I was too busy running around like a headless chicken with all the chaos!

And after a truly grueling and hair-raising boss fight, which tested the very limits of concentration and blurry vision, i somehow survived. And of course needed to take some big game trophy photos 😅

Take that, Bilegut! Get me the heck outta here!

Looking down from my precipice i saw THIS:

Like holy smokes, the crazy vistas GG comes up with. It was dizzying to look down into. But truly marvelous. Aaaaaaaaaand i'm gonna have to go in there, huh?
