Random assortment of Kotallo and Erend headcanons

-Erend and Kotallo bond quite a lot over their love for battle, both fascinated by the other's tribe's defense and fighting techniques. They also frequently share data on old world battles and war technology, and especially Kotallo becomes super enticed with military airplanes and jets of all sorts. (He's a total plane nerd lol)

-Kotallo notices that much like himself, Erend often feels like he is inadequate, or that part of him is missing ever since Ersa's death. While Kotallo's struggle with himself comes from more of a physical standpoint, he and Erend relate a lot over their insecurities and subtly try to hype the other up whenever the opportunity arises

-After the battle with the Zeniths, Kotallo encourages Erend to get his deeds inked by a tenakth inker and he does too, so they technically have matching tattoos :3

-i like to imagine they both have a thing for Aloy and are aware the other does too. There's a competitive air between them for a while but once they become closer they make a sort of pact not to be jealous or spiteful towards the other in case Aloy does happen to choose one of them as her partner, instead respecting her choice and being happy for whoever she ends up with.

-also they both like Linkin Park, no explanation needed on that.

Aloy, and physical contact

aloy is naturally touch averse, as a person. i mean, she spent most of her life alone, and very clearly still prefers to be alone. it’s what she’s used to, so the idea of her being iffy about physical touch just makes sense.

she’ll tolerate it, from her friends. (but also? i think they would be at least decently considerate about her boundaries)

there are moments in the game, a hug or two of course. (and the kiss with seyka but that comes very much after a whole lot of her character development). but every time, we can very clearly see her hesitation. it’s not something she’s used to, but is definitely trying to come around to.

i can’t see her as someone who cuddles, nor someone who holds hands. sure, if we see Seyka come back, i bet Aloy definitely does hold the capacity to do all of the touchy stuff. but, i don’t think it’s something she’d ever actively seek out.

BUT, if i think on it realistically and earnestly. it depends on the person. Talanah? yes. Beta? yes. Seyka? for sure! Varl and Erend? yeah! why not! i dont think she’d be the kind to turn down someone needing a hug, but she wouldn’t be the one to ask for it first

Horizon Forbidden West headcanons 3/?

Having someone to call family may be something new -if not unexpected-, but I think Aloy will be a caring and protective sister.*

She has older sister vibes and maybe will sound a bit commanding depending on the subject.

She's just not used to receiving physical affection (hence she gets surprised by Beta's hug).

*Judging by body expression and the way she acts with Beta after that one long talk.

Headcanon: Haxx is the oldest of the Gauntlet racers and actually the most weapons proficient. Because of this, he's the one sent out to scout new racing spots and secure camp before the others arrive.

Horizon Forbidden West headcanons 1/?

Beta definitely has no immune system fully adapted to Earth's environment; plus, she probably has a bit of knowledge about it.

It would be funny (and interesting) in a sense if she became low-key afraid of getting ill and a clean freak (not to the point of hypochondria tho) once the realization hits her that she now lives in this water and dust space ball -full of bacteria and viruses- and not in a controlled and sterilized place like it was in the Zenith's ship.

Aloy: *tending some scratches on Beta's arm*

Beta: "Those tissues are sterilized, right?"

Aloy: "stere-what?"

Beta: *internally screaming*

Sylens is aromantic/asexual

Erend is bisexual or pansexual

Kotallo is demiromantic/pansexual

Zo and Varl are bi4bi

Im not saying they’re all canonically queer, but they’re all queer to me
