HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERLOCK!!!

As it's Sherlock's birthday this a great time to read about the life of the little Sherlock from our series (mine and @loveismyrevolution) The Families of Sherlock Holmes first part How He Came to Be!

HHCTB SNEAK PEEK INCOMING

It is a rainy horrid freezing Friday here in Europe, I have a cold which my kiddos have delightfully shared with me so in order to spread some cheer here is a one time only offer!

A sneaky peeky for Chapter 9 of How He Came to Be!!! *insert awed face here*

There we go peeps have at it:

Mycroft and his mother had seen Grace’s room in the Chelsea townhouse, when they had gone to collect some of her things. It had been very frilly and a vibrant headache inducing sunshine yellow; there had been an excess of dressing up clothes and shoes for Grace and a little tea set. They had left it all there. Almost everything had smelt of whatever concoction of drugs Demeter had smoked to numb the pain of her existence, and Mummy hadn’t wanted it in the house. They’d even found Grace’s little bear companion like Gil-Bear, named with another of Aunt Lillian’s tiresome puns as O-Bear. He had been dropped near where Demeter had been found; a very sad, filthy and stained little thing, and he’d started to turn mildewy. It was a wonder Grace hadn’t been sickly when she had arrived with them.

What he had not given another thought to was the wall of instant photographs pinned to the chimney breast in that room, all of which Demeter and Bill had taken on their trusty Polaroid Instant camera, and all of them were of the young couple playing with Grace. Demeter laughing sitting at the little table with the tea set pouring from the teapot, a barely toddling Grace waiting for a cup of imaginary tea. Bill and Grace both dressed up and pulling faces at the camera. Mummy had taken them all down and put them in a shoebox for Grace and brought them home. But as far as Mycroft is aware no one has looked at them since.

Anja looks out of the car window and catches sight of a pale face staring out of one of the lower floor windows of the house pushed under the net curtain, a flash of dark hair surrounding it and then it’s gone. Moments later the door swings open and the same dark haired creature appears wearing bright yellow boots and a dark blue raincoat, followed by a beautiful dark red coloured dog. The dog runs around to the door where Papi is just getting out and the child rushes up to Anja’s window and presses their face up to the glass. They almost have the very same eyes as Anja, and it is a little like looking suddenly in an odd mirror.
