Chapters: 1/4 In the elevator of Hotel Richissime, Ansha meets a mighty Legendary Pokémon… and a strangely familiar old gentleman, with a white beard and ragged clothes. Later, Diantha returns to Kalos, where she reunites with her daughter — and learns how to lose a friend who was never really gone.
The elevator doors slide open, and oh, Ansha is quite surprised! There’s a Pokémon she’s never seen before in the elevator, black and green with four legs and an elegant scarf — and standing next to it, with an honestly rather surprised if not downright awkward expression, is a tall, white-haired, white-bearded man. Only one of his eyes is open, and his clothes are rumpled and covered in patches — so, perhaps, not the usual clientele of Hotel Richissime — but the amazing Ms. Jacinthe, of course, is proud to fill her tournaments with Kalosians from all walks of life, and Ansha will be proud to treat them just finely as Ms. Jacinthe would —
“Why hello, dear guests! My name is Ansha!” she says brightly, standing up tall on her tippy-toes, and then: “If it’s not too much of a bother, do you mind if I ride this elevator with you, mighty Trainer and fine Pokémon?”
The rare and distinguished Pokémon tilts its head, looking up at the disheveled man. The man looks back at his rare and distinguished Pokémon. Neither one of them seems to have expected or prepared for this everyday elevator occurrence.
“…Um,” the man says after a pause, blinking slowly in inexplicable confusion, “I suppose I don’t see why not?”
