Childhood Fears 09/19/19
Intruder 09/18/19
A Long Night-
After a long night,
One might find themselves
Sipping whiskey,
Thinking back to the good old days
When things were simple.
When they didn't have to worry
About things like love.
Because,
At the end of it all,
Things like love
Just don't exist anymore.
They cry themselves to sleep at night,
Trying to forget the thoughts
Of what once was,
And what could be.
After a long day,
And a longer night,
They give up on love.
It becomes a fantasy.
Flowers.
Flowers.
I pity flowers. Yet I envy them. They do not feel like I feel. They simply live and provide life, Yet I live and waste my life. The life of a flower is short, And that’s why I pity them. My life is long, But it is too long. It is difficult for me, As I am not strong. I feel as though I am breaking Under this pressure. So I’d like to be flower, But I’d like to bloom, Forever.
Innocence.
Our innocence is precious, And yet, It is used to hurt us. As we grow and age We are laughed at for not understanding things They would say: “You’re so innocent!” We see our elders, Who crave to be innocent. To be innocent, Is to be young. It’s what we all will crave One day.
