Alright guys, I’m calling to anyone that plays SWtOR and have Vodafone as ISP.
Since the patch of january 17, I’ve been experiencing constant incredibly high lag spikes - up to 800k ms one time! - more or less between 8pm (GMT +1) and 12pm (GMT+a).
The thing is, my tracert is good, no high latency whatsoever, (the max I saw was a 69 ms once, but that’s normal for me, considering I’m playing through WiFi), my pathping shows some packet loss - an average of around 35% on one hop but that, once again, is normal for me.
I’ve also consistently did both tests during “normal” hours, when my latency in game is around 65-70ms, and during the high latencey hours and there’s nothing out of place. I get the same results, more or less 1 or 2 ms.
I’ve tried flushing my dns, rebooting my router and my computer, unplugging the router for 1 minute, changing dns, opening all the 11.001 ports the game could connect to even though the game works perfectly fine normally, using a VPN, using a proxy, connecting by tethering via my smartphone.
Nothing seems to work and I don’t know what else to try.
Also worth nothing: whenever SWtOR’s latency makes the game unplayable - I’m talking about spikes of 60k up to 200k - I don’t get disconnected. But if I close the game and try anything else - BF4, Battlefron, HotS, whatever - I’ve got no problem whatsoever and my connection is stable and pretty good - a speed test during this problematic hours show 15Mb/s in download and my usual 0.8 in upload, (yeah, tell me about it).
So, if you have Vodafone as ISP and have by chance came acrosse the same problem... Was it ever fixed? If so, how?
