Director of Shingeki no Kyojin Live Action Movie Announced! Movie to Hit Cinemas in 2015!
The upcoming live action movie for popular manga and anime「Shingeki no Kyojin」is to be directed by Higuchi Shinji, famous anime storyboard artist and top special effects wizard in Japan.
He is also known for drawing the storyboards of The End of Evangelion, Rebuild of Evangelion, and most recently, Kill la Kill. Higuchi was also the writer for The End of Evangelion.
The writing for the SNK live action movie will be done by Watanabe Yuusuke, who has also done work on Japanese TV drama Bloody Monday and live action movie of GANTZ. Machiyama Tomohiro, good friend of Isayama Hajime, will be working on the script as well.
Isayama Hajime will also be participating in the making of the movie by supplying ideas and suggestions for the team.
Shooting is planned to start in the summer of 2014 and the movie is set to be released in 2015.
