Lloyd got Merylld
Andre's best friend got married so we had to drive two hours up north for the ceremony. We were scheduled to check -in overnight at Hilton Clark where the wedding will take place, but upon arriving we learned that our room was not ready yet. For a few minutes my mind went in a semi-frenzy of panic because there I stood barely ready for anything. I did not know how and where I could gird myself for the event.
We first knocked on Lloyd's (the groom) room hoping it was a good alternative for a dressing room instead of waltzing into one of the public bathrooms in the lobby which was obviously inconvenient. Then we learned there was a free hair and make up session in Meryll's (the bride) room. To cut a long, chaotic story short, I was able to get myself dolled up! yay.
In every single circumstance, big or small, God always pulls through. It may not be in the way I hoped it would be, but He still provides me with a solution just in the nick of time.
I enjoyed the moment I was stuck in that room waiting for my turn. I was able to meet the groom's family and exchange a few stories with them. I realized that whenever I am nervous I become more talkative than usual.
And, voila. We cleaned up pretty nicely!
For lunch, Andre, Jp, Weng and I headed to Olive Restaurant near the pool area. it was such a bad decision!
Their coke costed us 234 pesos! their coffee was priced at 300 pesos and our meals were each priced at 600 pesos. But we had no other choice! There was nowhere else to go for food except this highway robbery restaurant.
WEDDING COMMENCED!!
After so much trouble with the wedding coordinators, Lloyd and Meryll finally tied the knot, with my husband as the best man. I am just happy everything pulled through!
Makes me wonder if there IS a near-perfect wedding coordinator. It seems like no couple is spared from horror stories, us included. But you know, at the end of the day, as long as you get married...then it is a success story to say the least! :)
Mabuhay ang bagong kasal!
This is my husband's law school classmates and professors. I was taking photos of them while they were at the photo booth. :)
