It is?! In opposition to what? Vs. “transgender?” … The -ed is something that will naturally get added on to words in the lexicon for various reasons. THEY SHOULD TAKE IT AS THE WORD BEING WIDELY ACCEPTED IN THE ENGLISH LEXICON. That’s it.

Yes, apparently. I've seen several posts asking people not to add the "-ed" onto the end of the word, and I've never understood why. Apparently no one wants to explain it to me either.

Hehe, yep. Actually it was you trying to spell sclerosis that prompted this. I thought I should probably provide some sort of explanation as to why I know how to spell shit all the time...
