“I know you can manage it, you simply don’t have to.”
Fresh lacerations littered her body. She could not see herself, but she knew, regardless — that the very sight of her was uncouth. The wounds were small, but numerous; they bled, and stained her purple robes.
It was the result of her foolish moves during battle, and it was a consequence she was willing to bear; so she will continue manage it. Those paltry words did nothing but strengthen her defenses. Blaze turned her head away and gritted her teeth. ❝ I need to. ❞ Her anger, though only a small fickle flame on the tip of her tail, was visible in more ways than one — on her countenance and in her tone. ❝ You, of all people must understand that. ❞
Flames encased her body, before dispersing as quickly as they appeared. In her attempt to cauterize her wounds, she instead worsened them.
She would just have to work swiftly.
Blaze, despite her unsteadiness, began to walk. ❝ I must handle the threat. ❞ It was her interdimensional responsibility, she alone must shoulder the burden.
