in 2027 i’ll be 19, with 3 degrees. surpass every expectation people have set for you. screw that, set your own standards. manifest it, make it happen. i AM the first in my family to be graduating with a bachelors.

i’m currently manifesting the rest of my tuition. i need 2.6k and guess what? i’m already down to 1.4k in TWO DAYS. manifestation is real, and i did that. head up, chin high, and eyes forward. pity gets you nowhere, strength and resilience gets you everywhere.

My views on being an artist vary. For me I don't like being known as a "black" photographer. I just want to be known as a photographer. Unfortunately with the way the world works that won't happen. My race will always come first just how my gender will always follow. But in case anyone forgot, I'm also half Puerto Rican. I identify as an Afro-Latina. I wear my race every where I go. There's no hiding for me. However don't for a second think because I have dark skin I can't be hispanic. Puerto Rican are historically africans that speak spanish. Same goes for Dominicans. But what upsets me the most is that the girl who's half white and half Puerto Rican gets to claim when she wants to be a minority. But for me it's a never ending game, and I'm okay with that. But don't try to deny me my heritage because you're too ignorant to realize that skin color does not defy ethnicity. I am black. I am Latina. I am excellent.
