The Angel Oak Tree🌳
The Angel Oak tree of South Carolina that once was apart of a Plantation is the gravesite of many enslaved ancestors. They considered it a bad omen for themselves for the role it played in their lives and only stepped near it out of necessity.
Given its past history there have been reports of glowing, Angel-like figures surrounding the tree and even hanging from the branches. Being once vandalized a couple reported hearing what sounded like an angry mob then turning to runaway facing a demon-like figure. This encounter is believed to be the ancestral spirits of the buried and hung Native and African-Americans bodies protecting the evergreen tree.
People to this day still visit the tree and some come and go with an eerie feeling.
