As someone who lived in less than glamorous conditions, the idea of someone so wealthy just casually walking beside her disgusted Kyoko. Treating Hitomi so poorly was actually coming from her personal envy though, she didn't have the kind of funds Hitomi did and she was worried this meant Hitomi would steal Sayaka right out from under her nose and keep her nice and happy.
She would fight back in her own way, she was more of a buddy to Sayaka than Hitomi could be and so the two of them would enjoy playing around as allies of justice. Hitomi had too much dignity to do such things, but she would return fire by buying Sayaka a small collection of anime figurines she'd been talking about wanting.
This fighting would continue for weeks, and as time wore on Hitomi's composure would fail as she started to be just as openly angry as Kyoko. Feeling she was causing a rift between her friends, Sayaka had taken to spending time with Kyousuke instead.
Realizing they'd driven her away, Hitomi and Kyoko would drown their sorrows in food. Kyoko would be going through boxes of Pocky while Hitomi nibbled at cheesecake. They would glance at eachother across the cafeteria table now and then, the fight still in their eyes even though the prize had walked away.
"Well, I don't know about you but I think I'm going to be okay." Hitomi would say between bites. "You're probably going to be a wreck though." She would whimper slightly when Kyoko threw a Pocky stick that bounced off of her forehead, the redhead cackling. "Aww, did you not get what you wanted for once? That's a shame, I really feel bad for you."
The food would be discarded as their faces neared, aggression in their eyes as they waited to see who would be the first to back down. "You probably don't even know how to treat her." The redhead would quip, and Hitomi would put her arms around her.
"I know how to pamper someone!"
It wasn't certain when they went from banter to kissing, but neither side wanted to relinquish the lead as their tongues dueled. It was Kyoko who would go weak-kneed first, and as the kiss broke Hitomi would smile at her.
"I'm not done with you, I'm going to take that challenge of yours." Taking Kyoko's hand, Hitomi would lead her outside as class drew to a close. Sitting at the table, she would be trying hard to act like she didn't like it as Hitomi gave her nice clothes, brushed her hair tenderly, and fed her expensive cake.
"I-if I admit defeat, can I come back for more sometime?" It was rare to see Kyoko so vulnerable, but Hitomi was all smiles. The redhead was in need of a lot of love that life just hadn't given her, and she wouldn't be busy all the time like Kyousuke or Sayaka.
"I suppose I could find it in my heart, Miss Sakura."
