NICKI MINAJ GIVING LIL’ KIM HOMAGE.

The infamous squat pose as you can see here is the first (correct me if I’m wrong) piece of evidence that Nicki is showing love and homage to one of the greatest to ever do it.
In this video you can clearly hear Onika speak on her love for Missy, Kim and others. She goes on to say “she can fill her [Kim’s] shoes” which is a true statement but many people may not agree with this and say it’s her throwing shots (when it’s not) Nicki is a very confident woman and confidence is key when being a rapper and also a singer.
In a freestyle song, (from her mixtape days) she raps “who’s ya best MC? Nic, Fox and Kim.” You can listen to the song here. (starts at 2:19)
In an interview with Hot 97 she spoke on Kim. She said the following:
Asked if she is a fan of other female rappers, she replied: "Absolutely. My favorites are Foxy, Kim and then Remy - they were all from New York.”
"It's no disrespect to any other female rappers, but those are the ones I felt like, 'Oh, OK - I could get into that'. They sounded like me when I spoke and I just thought they really made an impact."
She added: "But I always loved Missy, cause she was playful. Missy and Left Eye weren't afraid to be goofy at times and I loved that as well."
