Well canon-wise, if Frey were to come back, they wouldn't be the same at all. But for entertainment's sake, let's pretend they would be the same person.
Frey isn't a jealous person, so I think they'd be okay with it. It would be hard to adjust, and I don't think Frey would ever lose feelings for MC, they'd just have to be okay with not being the one for MC anymore. If MC ever gave Frey another chance, they'd take it eagerly, but they are not expecting that to be happen, that would just be best case scenario.
It's painful to think about actually. I think Frey has a hard time putting themselves first at all, and often sacrifice their own happiness for someone else's. 🥲

They were the first friends they've ever had and Pachypoda catches feelings very easily. But it was just a crush, and they were okay just being a part of their lives, and a part of their family.

Frey would be so bad at the game too!! I can imagine Hero showing both their parents all their little builds and then being like "Now time to go mining!" And MC is like, "Okay, but I need to gather wood, yes?" So while MC is out there, following the tutorial rules of the game, Frey goes off with Hero to their little mining adventure.
It's just screams.
Frey dies over and over again, screaming at creepers blowing up and skeletons sniping them from the darkness, meanwhile Hero is shouting "USE YOUR SHIELD!" And Frey is "WHAT DO I DO WHAT DO I DO" And MC is laughing quietly as they add little flowers in front of their house, waiting for their return.
I 100% believe that Hero would gift everything to MC, diamonds, gold, emeralds, enchanted stuff, even swords, despite Frey needing it more. And Frey, the lovesick fool would do the same, while they remain armourless, with one single wooden sword and nothing to their name. Meanwhile MC would keep them fed, learning how to farm, fish and hunt. Maybe they even learn a bit of redstone on the side and watch tutorials on their spare time.

Pachypoda would absolutely melt but also be completely flustered by the change. I mean, a scary MC has Pachypoda wide eyed already, if not, a bit "damsel-in-distress" too. But to see the switch-up, right in front of their eyes. It would make Pachypoda splutter out in confusion, but especially pride? Like they want to show off. They want to show everyone what they do to you. Pachypoda does have that little boastful side to them too, especially when it comes to MC.
Astro/a is a teaser at best. They're the jester of the group, the one to egg MC on when they're all angry and stuff. I can imagine Astro/a trying to make MC tempered, only because it is slightly entertaining (if it caused no harm), but when MC doesn't rise up to the challenge, or rather, goes completely soft-smiled... Astro/a would laugh and pounce on them. I feel like they'd definitely enjoy taking a more assertive role to an MC who is usually that, except with them.
Secret LI1 can relate. They're kind of like that too. I feel like they're definitely the ones that wouldn't comment on it, most likely enjoy it like a private joke. Soft smiles, vague comments, etc. (Can you imagine THIS power couple?!)
Secret LI2 would find it amusing, but wouldn't directly comment on it either because they don't want to embarrass MC in any way. Maybe they might coddle MC a little bit because of it, but I can definitely see them become sort of blind to the "scary" version of MC because when they look at them, all they see is the "puppy" MC that they are in private. Endless heart eyes.
BONUS:
Frey is very easy to read. Everyone knows that Frey loves a scary MC, it's something to be explored for sure. 👀 But I can imagine a situation where MC goes from scary to maybe flustered, or just overall soft, upon interacting with Frey. I know for a fact that Frey would laugh really hard at it. Mainly cause it's cute but also, the stark difference is just so comical! I think Frey would dote on MC a lot because of this.

Stop, I'm gonna sob for a millennia over their potential (I know I know, it's my fault, but I can still cry over it 😭). While I do think MC is Frey and Hero's rock, it goes both ways. I can also imagine a more adventurous MC's going on the adventures with them, but still being the voice of reason if Hero is still young.
They're such a healthy family, it's strange to imagine how different Hero would be if Frey lived. And how different MC would be as well.
