Just realized I got tagged in this like a month ago, sorry.  Thanks you twinkletoews1988 for the tag.  Anywho...

Rules:: first, list your five favorite hockey players of all time, active or retired. they don’t need to have played in the nhl either. second, list your five least favorite players of all time. these can be players who broke your heart, knocked your team out of the playoffs, threw a dirty hit, or players you just plain hate. third, once you’ve made the two lists, tag around 10 of your friends.

Favorite Players: (though I really don't have a top 5, there are too many.  Plus pretty much  the whole Sabres team are my favorite.)

1.) What part of being a hockey fan is the most important part for you?

I feel like when you meet another fan of the team you like or a player you like there is a lot acceptance if that makes sense.  I also really enjoy having some of the friends I do because of hockey even though we may love other teams because we bond over our obsession.

  2.) Which player of your team do you don’t like and why?

I like or love everyone of the Sabres but I guess at the moment I don't much care for Ville Leino.  Mainly because they paid a lot of money for him and he's done diddly poop since coming.  I'm hoping with all the changes he finds his place on the team.  I'm not much for hate.  :)

  3.) What’s your fav player in the NHL who comes from Europe and why?

Huh I have no idea.  I mean I love Vanek on the Sabres so I guess him.  I'm also super excited that Tallinder is back.  I don'y care that he's getting older like other people are saying.  News flash, everyone ages.

4.) Do you ever had a Stanley Cup party or what would you like to do if your team won the cup?

I've never had a cup party because I don't have that many friends who love hockey as much as me.  I usually celebrate by myself when the team I like wins.  If the Sabres won the cup I'd cry because it would be the city's first cup.  That is monumental.  And i would make sure I would be in the city when they have some sort of ceremony for it.  I need to see/touch that cup before I am old and die, I just need to.

5.) What was the best thing you go through with a fan of another hockey team?

I don't know.  Maybe just bonding over our love of hockey together.  There are some players or teams I really don't like at all but if you do then cool beans, but if you rag on my team or the players I love then not such cool beans.

MY QUESTIONS:

1.) Who is your Favorite Player and Why?

My favorite is Paul Gaustad aka Goose.  He used to play for Buffalo and when I first started watching hockey I just like gravitated towards him.  He is great at faceoffs and the way he will defend any of his teammates made me swoon.  Everyone loves him. Super plus, I love the environment and kids and when he was here in Buffalo he did a lot of stuff with that.  I can keep going but I'll just leave it at that.

2.) What is your favorite hockey memory?

I have two. When I got my first hockey tickets.  It was for Christmas and they were for March 27th in Buffalo against Tampa Bay.  I thought they were fake and I almost cried.  We live far from Buffalo, like 6.5 hours so it meant a lot to me. And the game was amazing.  They won 7 to 1 I think it was and Goose scored 2 goals.  

Then the other was this past Spring, we were out for my friends birthday and I saw like 5 Sabres players at the bar.  I totally was gawking at them but didn't go up and say anything because I thought it would be rude to interrupt their time.  Anywho at the end of the night they walked passed and it was a tight squeeze so they lightly touched our backs to say excuse me.  I died a little that night.

3.) Who is your favorite mascot in the NHL?

Obviously Sabretooth.

4.) Who is your least favorite player and why?

That's a toughy.  I'm not sure because it comes in waves.  I guess I'd have to say Raffi Torres or Carcillo.  Torres played for Buffalo for a bit and even when he was on the team I love I was like, please just leave.  These days he is a butt hole all over the league so whateva.  Carcillo is such a pest.  Gosh I can't stand him at all.  But I assume he's like Pat Kaleta where you love him on your team but hate him when he's not.

That being said if you don't like Kaleta we can't be friends.  He's a Buffalonian and he loves the community like no other.

5.) How did you get into hockey?

Back in 10th grade my Earth Science teacher who is from Buffalo was like hockey season starts tonight you guys should watch the game and I was like well I have nothing else to do.  So I watched them that night and it was like AH MA GAWD THIS IS AMAZING.  The next day I told him I watched the game and loved every second.  I've been hooked ever since.  Like how can you not love the grit and utter awesomeness of these athletes?
