β When you tell Ominis he has a beautiful smile, he admits no one's ever said that before.
He didn't smile often.
You'd noticed this within your first week at Hogwarts, back when you'd been the new fifth-year and he'd been the reserved Slytherin who spoke in careful, measured tones and kept most people at arm's length.
When he did smile, it was usually sardonicβa twist of his lips that suggested he found the world more amusing than agreeable. Sometimes it was polite, the kind of expression he wore during social obligations he couldn't avoid.
But genuine smiles? Those were rare enough to be remarkable.
You'd seen one exactly three times in the months since you'd befriended him.
Once, when Sebastian had made a particularly terrible pun and Ominis had been so caught off guard he'd laughed before he could stop himself.
Once, when you'd described the sunset over the Black Lake in such detail that he'd said, "I can almost see it," and smiled like you'd given him something amazing.
Once, just last week, when you'd successfully brewed a perfect Wit-Sharpening Potion and he'd been able to tell by scent alone, pride evident in the curve of his mouth.

Harry Potter had known torment like no other. Stood little over 5 foot tall, he had felt blistering rage poured from callous hands and the bitter loneliness nipping at his guts. But none of it, not the broom cupboard, not the scar, would be worse that enduring another double potions class.
And so, the boy who lived took a left turn down a spiral staircase instead of carrying on to the dungeons and followed the candlelit corridors until he found himself facing a dead-end. It was, he thought, maybe the most peaceful part of the castle heβd seen in his two months of admittance. There was no cobwebbed ceiling corners, no scathing suits of armour, no ghastly ghosts taunting his every breath. The walls were barren except for a lone portrait frame displayed on the far wall. Harry walked closer.
It was an empty frame, holding only a background of red curtains and a plush sofa. He wondered who that frame was meant to home and worried his footsteps had frightened them off. He turned to walk away, to find a shadowy area by one of the far courtyards where he could waste the rest of his two hours. But just as he did so, back already to the wall, he heard a gentle voice.
βAre you lost, sweetheart?β
Sebastian:Β βLetβs make a pact: if either of us gets expelled, the other will smuggle us back in.β

While he does enjoy magical gifts, he also gives you muggle things if he can. Simple bouquets, normal boxes of chocolates, little trinkets.
Study dates are big ones for you two!
Enjoys wearing your clothes in public. Not like your robes or anything but scarves, gloves, ect. Basically anything he can subtly get away with.
Youβre coming to his quidditch games and practices if youβre up for it.
If youβre on another team, he unintentionally goes a little easier on you. Yes, his teammates get on him for it.
Ron
Depends on whether or not this after or before Lavender.
Either way it will result in him and Harry in their bunks one night and Ron saying βI think I like other guys.β Out of nowhere btw.
Courting you, he doesnβt have much to give money and gift wise. He is more verbally affectionate and also friendly bullying.
Study dates that just result in you two cuddling, slacking off, whatever.
Very physically affectionate. PDA is usually kept to hand holding, quick kisses, arm around your shoulder or waist. Not even intentional, he just sucks at personal space with you.
Not a morning person so if you think youβre gonna wake up early and do stuff, then forget about it. His grip is like a constant bear hug when he sleeps.
He loves gifts. Wonβt straight up tell you when he wants something, but you can definitely tell.
The conversation usually goes βWow.. Look at this.β He shows you an item, trying to be cool about it. βDo you want it?β βI mean I donβt necessarily need it but..β

These two are lumped since the intro would be similar.
Theyβre lowkey a package deal ngl. You get one and youβll be friends with the other doesnβt matter.

Fred is a chronic schemer. It gets to a point where you can tell heβs planning something by the tone of his voice, a look in his eye.

Very physically affectionate. No personal space. Itβs a Weasley thing, everyone in this family is affectionate.
Also very verbally affectionate and chatty. A lot of your dates is just you two talking for hours.
Prank shop era, if you need a job you can definitely work there. Probably as a cashier or stocking shelves.
Yes he will prank you, you arenβt safe. It wonβt be anything crazy, but you have to expect things. Especially if you happen to be a Slytherin.
Dates are either something insanely out there, or the opposite and just relaxing and cuddling.
If youβre both on the quidditch team, you two will have at least one broom race.
Itβs hard to stay sad around him. Usually ends up with you laughing or in confusion from whatever he does to make you feel better.

Like his twin, he also is a schemer but is more chill about it. Sometimes he just does his jokes impulsively.

He pranks you still, but it never ends in a mess. Just small things that may inconvenience you for like 10 minutes.
Physically affectionate ofc, but is usually more private about it. PDA will just be casual things that make you look like really good friends.
Alone, he enjoys just having some part of him touching you. Could just be his foot touching your leg.
More big on gifts. Any kind, can even just be small trinkets that made him think of you.

Heβs the one with the biggest struggle. Especially if itβs after dating Pansy. And especially if you arenβt another pureblood slytherin.
Once heβs over it enough to actually date you, he is still lost. With women, heβs supposed to be a bit of a gentleman, yes. What about with other guys??
He somewhat follows his fatherβs footsteps when it comes to affection. Reserved and like heβs some damn prince. And you of course also being a prince.
Hand kisses. I donβt care argue with a wall. Soft kisses.
Gift giver just because he can honestly. He has the money, he can share.
Gives you his coat when itβs cold, holds doors for you, pulls out chairs for you.
Probably somewhat emotionally constipated, so he gets all awkward when you actually reciprocate. Donβt take it as he hates it, because he doesnβt.
Heβs used to people glazing him, and affection from his parents, but itβs different because of how much he likes you.
When heβs actually used to dating you, he goes back to normal and teases you a lot. But heβs the only one who can do that.
Targets you if youβre on opposing Quidditch teams. Just because he knows youβll distract him if youβre actually good at the game.

I have no idea where people decided he was a CHAIN SMOKER but ERR ERRR WRONG.
This guy goes to bed at 9:30 sharp every night and you canβt convince me otherwise.
Probably wonβt tell anyone about his crush on you, so when it happens it will be a surprise to everyone.
He is a loner, quiet guy. Probably journals things about you that he notices from afar.
When finally asking you out, he has a perfectly cultivated plan for just how it will go down. That is until you go off script and suddenly heβs left lost.
Either way, itβll end with him giving you your favorite snack, maybe flowers, and asking you out.
He doesnβt play quidditch or really care for it one way or another. But if you play, he will be there silently cheering you on.
Theo enjoys study dates but a chunk of it usually is: Theo is already done with the work, so now he looms over your shoulder explaining things to you.
He also isnβt the most patient so lowkey just tells you the answers sometimes if you really bother him enough.
Not physically the strongest, and is rather light. Pick him up and heβll fold immediately.
Blaise
Was raised mostly by his mother, so he was raised to be a gentleman when he got a girlfriend.
You arenβt a girl, but he still does try at it.
High chance youβre his first boyfriend, so he is somewhat lost on how to go about it.
After about 2-3 weeks of confusion and questions, he locks in and keeps his gentleman nature.
Not big on words or PDA. But he does do gifts. Heβs rich as hell from 7 fathers worth of life insurance.
While he isnβt good with words, he is very greedy for compliments and verbal affection.
Doesnβt do study dates sorry. He thinks youβll end up distracting him he needs to lock in on his own.

Enjoys his clichΓ© dates but also likes getting creative with them. Maybe something a little unorthodox just to mix it up.

Hugs you around the house, cuddles a lot, non-sexual neck kisses.
Heβs touch starved from prison okay, heβs all over you.

When you come back home, he greets you with a hug and also sniffs you.
Tends to stay close to you in public, always holding your hand or just generally drifting towards you.
