Your blog is the first place I saw trans with the asterisk being taken down and obviously I'm going to stop using the asterisk, but I'm just wondering (so I can explain it to other cis people) what is the problem with the asterisk?

it's used to gatekeep trans people who arent binary trans men and is very exclusive this way

As an avid Artemis Fowl fan, I'm applauding you right now. I cannot believe some of the crap coming out of these people's mouths. Way to put them in their place, and certainly don't stop.
