“Keep on Going” by Holiday Mountain
Laura Patiño and Zander Kagle aka Holiday Mountain bring us their latest showcase of talent and music with their inspiring and beautiful track, “Keep on Going”. Lilly’s last day (almost)
This is my second to last day as a Girlie intern. It's been pretty rad. I've learned a lot of things about the PR biz, and everyone here is great. Also sometimes you get to sit on a yoga ball at your desk and that's pretty cool until you topple over and ram into the person next to you.
But also I’ve learned about really rad music. First of all, there’s this song. It’s called “Old Man Trump,” and it’s actually a cover. Of a secret Woody Guthrie song written in the 1950′s, about Donald Trump’s father, who was also a racist scumbag (though I’m not sure if he also had terrible hair. Edit: Yes. Yes he did). But this cover, by riot folk troubadour Ryan Harvey, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, and the amazing Ani DiFranco, sounds like it was written yesterday about our dear The Donald. It’s as catchy as it is eerie.
There’s also this ridiculous video by Holiday Mountain. The song is fun as hell, and combines some of my favorite things: glitter, fruit hats, stock images of children eating hot dogs, and one of the only Spanish phrases I really know.
I’ll try to post about more things I love about it here tomorrow, but for now I have to leave before I fall off this yoga ball. Again.
