“Watson, I hate your perfume.”
hhhh in granada!TWIS instead of having holmes just read st. clair’s letter, like he does in the story, they decided he should ask. so the scene ends up with holmes like “would you mind if i read this letter to dr. watson?” & of course mrs. st. clair agrees, so holmes, speaking directly to watson, is like:
“dearest,” *pause* “uh, do not be frightened... [rest of the letter]”
& im like. gOD HOLMES
it’s even funnier when u consider the fact that in the actual text the letter is like. “Dearest do not be frightened” with no comma or line break or anything holy shit
Apparently Elementary Holmes has outraged quite a few people himself...
Holmes: [massaging his jaw a bit]
Watson: She really got you, huh?
Holmes: Lefty. [gesturing to one cheek] This one, leathery from slaps. [other cheek] This one, baby's bottom.
also today my english teacher told us to "put the bible on [our] summer reading list, because even if you're not christian many pieces of english literature have biblical allusions and you should know all of them"
