Sherlock had never met them, and was grateful for it, considering the troubles other block residents had with theirs.

☠—-   The fire alarm can be heard several blocks down--just          about everyone in Block A is hanging out their windows             searching for the source of the sound. Alas, there’s no             actual fire. Block B apartment five’s smoke alarms are             just reminding the poor woman that they do indeed work. Most everyone starts climbing back inside. A few light up their cigarettes and joints. Rome stares at the clearly disheveled blonde from block B with her windows thrown open and wisps of smoke flitting out. The alarm continues to blare.

That sucks.
