I am beyond disappointed with the Hololive concert at Anime Revolution.
It was not okay that we were delayed in entry for over half an hour, and that the concert did not start on time.
The information for lining up came late, and making us wait outdoors when many people, including myself, have health problems aggravated by heat was irresponsible. My husband and I waited until later, but still waited quite a while outdoors because of the disorganization, where seats had to be added to the concert.
I felt my Silver tickets were not worth the price, considering we had the same floor seating as everyone else. Because it was flat floor seating, other people often obstructed our view as they stood to dance to the songs. Furthermore, the platinum seating was so close to the stage that they could not see the show. It was not an ideal venue at all.
The song quality was terrible. The bass overpowered everything, so the vocals could barely be heard. The kicker for me was when technical difficulties ruined an entire show with Kureji Ollie, whom I paid specifically to see sing, and then the feed went dead. Any other venue would have immediately offered us a refund and a live apology for such a massive blunder. This is embarrassing for a convention of such a scale, considering we paid extra for this on top of convention entry, and honestly, it was not worth the extra money at all, with how poorly it was set up and organized.
I came from Alberta specifically for this concert, and I likely will not be back after discovering that this is the second year a major VTuber concert has fumbled. It insults their talent, and I can see why they would not want to be back. This is damaging to their brand as well as yours.
A tweet as an apology is not an apology. I expect to hear specifically how Anime Revolution will “take full responsibility" because I see empty promises and meaningless words. They owe the fans much more than that. Not being offered an apology or compensation for such a massive event that they messed up is beyond insulting to the fans and Hololive.
