Charities are for the poor, and the destitute, and those who administer them, and for reconciling hearts, and for freeing slaves, and for those in debt, and in the path of Allah, and for the traveler in need—an obligation from Allah. Allah is All-Knowing, Most Wise

―Quran 9:60

They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it."

Righteousness is not in turning your faces towards the east or the west. Rather, the righteous are those who believe in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Books, and the prophets; who give charity out of their cherished wealth to relatives, orphans, the poor, ˹needy˺ travellers, beggars, and for freeing captives; who establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and keep the pledges they make; and who are patient in times of suffering, adversity, and in ˹the heat of˺ battle. It is they who are true ˹in faith˺, and it is they who are mindful ˹of Allah

The Quran tells us that the righteous is not the one who faces the east or west, the true believers are those who Believe in God, the day of Judgement, the Angels, the Book, and the Prophets that came, give all their wealth and free slaves from captivity.

Basically, Allah here in the verse says, one is a True believer and has Love for God when they choose to free the slaves from bondage.

This concept of freeing human beings is not just one who is in their own possession but also those who are owned by others, that their debt or money should be paid for their immediate freedom. In Short, the Quran tells us, that in the sight of God, the freeing of a human being from slavery is among the most praiseworthy acts a Muslim can do.

“What if this was all the money you could spend for the rest of the day?”

Tried a bit of experimental pixel painting for the game Change, something I backed on Kickstarter. It wasn’t doing so hot, so I thought I’d do a bit of promotional fan art to try and help it along.

Change is a homeless survival simulator, where you have to find work, shelter and food in the hostile environment of a busy city. Also, you have a dog. So you know some tough, emotional decisions are going to be made. ;_;

How many homeless people are there in UK, Many people are homeless for years. It's very difficult to calculate the actual number of homeless people.

In London, 170K people are without a home, and in the country, the figure reached 320K where 295K live in temporary accommodation. The rate of such people is growing at 4% per annum.
