This post is about major Homestuck spoilers, so be warned.
Is it commonly understood that the Lord English we see as a big green skull guy is made up of the souls of Caliborn, Gamzee, and ARquiusprite? I always thought that when Lil Cal was prototyped, the souls combined into Doc Scratch, but that Caliborn alone broke out of Doc Scratch's body while the rest died as Doc Scratch. To me, this explained why Doc Scratch and Lord English are so different from each other.
However, I think that if they fused completely and continue together as Lord English, it has a lot of interesting implications that are elaborated on in this video:
I first consumed Homestuck entirely outside of the fanbase, so I wasn't aware that I had a different understanding of this aspect of Lord English. What do other people think happened with the soul amalgamation?
